I sent a PM. when I csmo I paint the whole thing Green then put leaves or grass on it then lightly with Khaki. The hat looks good! Just get Krylon Matte and spray on. I think the wax or whatever coating on the straw is whats causing your scrapeing problem. Good Shooting Jeff
