If yall remember, I posted a story back in May about buying a truck to turn into my next hunting rig. (New Hunting Rig post)
Well, after spending time on the diesel motor and getting it running like a top, it was time to start getting this rig ready for hunting season. I secured a flatbed and ranch bumper off of a neighbor rancher. Installation of it will begin in a few days. In the meantime, I purchased a large roll of Camoskinz from Camo4u in Mossy Oak Brush. I did my research and chose their product, due to the lifetime warranty against fading. That's a pretty big deal when you live in the desert.
Turns out, after reviewing my website, they asked me to join their Prostaff. After seeing how good their product was to work with, I gladly accepted.
Here's what I started with:
I started with removing the chrome rock panel, door trim, and all emblems from the truck. Heck, that took 2 days of Goo-b-gone, scraping, and pressure washer to remove the adhesives. Next, I painted the doorways and window edges, so that the stark white wouldn't jump out where the camo wasn't applied. Also, the white fender flares were painted black.
Installation of the camo wrap begins. Two days in the blazing sun and 100+ degree temp, kicked my butt, but well worth it.
I painted the frame, nerf bars and rims. I even added a little camo vinyl to the center of the hubs for detail.
The finished camo wrap.
I'll take the bumper and bed off, later this week. The new flatbed and bumper are being worked on now and hopefully installed next week. Custom dog box, tool boxes, gun racks, shooting rests, night calling electrical, decals....yeah I have bunch more to do!
Thought I'd share.
