Don't think I saw this posted anywhere here yet. New 6-18x44 long range scope from Redfield. Has a different/ looks better to me long range reticle. Need to find out more about it but looks very promising for my next rifle. Wish it had been available last month when i put the 4-12x40 on my Axis. Suggested retail $269.99 for the 6-18x44.

I think it would go good atop the new Ruger "American" rifle I am thinking of getting later this year. Probably .308 but havn't made up my mind yet.

Also have new 2-7x34, 3-9x42,3-9x52, and 4-12x42 in the new lineup.

Redfield!!!
Very Nice scope. We all need to look at this new line, for the price they look very good and there backed by Leopold..

I think the actual prices will be higher though as I bought my 4-12x40 from natchez for $210 in Dec. and they are now listed for $250 for the same scope.

So I reckon you can add $40 to the suggested retail on these- still a good price if the quality is as good as they have been.

Maybe Natchez is just getting too greedy. Optics Planet has them for sale right at suggested retail. Plus free UPS! I did get $30 off my order from Natchez when i bought my 4-12x40 though so i got free shipping and then some that time and at suggested retail price.

That does look like an interesting reticle. I like the accurange on the Revolution line too. The only thing is that the Revenge line says nothing about it being made in the US, so I assume it's Asian.

Do any of your know how the rangefinding piece works. I looked that the website and it shows you bracketing the animal between the two side posts and the top reticle post. I'm assuming that you adjust the power setting to adusted the top cross bar and side bars to the size of the animal and that then moves the range finding bar up and down?

Well I hope not, one of my favorite things about the Revolution line is that it's made in USA. But they are pretty quick to point that out too, but not so with the new Revenge line, at least that I could see. So that's why I have to surmise that they're made elsewhere. I wish I knew more about them...

Yeah- I've been looking and looking and can't find anywhere that says where they are made. I fear you may be right- especially since they were able to keep the price as low as the Revolution line with supposedly higher priced features on this new line.

Right on the home page under "The Starting at $130" It says "Built In The USA.

http://redfield.com/riflescopes/
"BUILT IN OREGON,
HUNTED ACROSS THE COUNTRY
We've been building scopes for a long time. And we're going to keep building them, right here in Oregon. Buy with confidence; knowing your Revolution was made with pride"

Now it doesn't say any of this on the Revenge line only the Revolution line..... Thinking overseas for sure.

They still might be good- not being made in China gives hope but I think it will make me more likely to buy one of the new VX-1's or VX-2's for my next rifle. I have 3 of the FX-II scopes right now- one 6x36 and two 2.5x20's and really like them.

I also really like my Revolution scope so far. Why didn't they just upgrade the Revolution line and keep them here? Their main selling point was "made in USA".

They may be testing to move more of their products overseas- not good.

I just got done talking to my local gun store guy about the Revolution. He just returned from the SHOT show and says Redfield is raising the price of the Revolution about $40

I wish I knew more about them... I took a peek on the Redfield site and noticed it says "built" in the USA.I called them again and found out that Leupold and Redfield are both "built" in the USA.They both have glass from "outsources".The term "built"applies to both. They gave me reasons why but......
That being said i do like my Revolution, but will pay closer attention to wording from now on!!!
Would I buy another? Will see.
