I might add, if you knock them down, with even their tail still moving, hit them again, and again. If they figure out that they are not dead, they may get up doing 80 mph.
Manufacturers have a fantastic cost in setting up machines to run, they often produce a lot of Scrap in the process. So, they may make a run of your favorite shell once a year or once every 18 months. So, if you have a favorite shell that your gun likes, buy 10 boxes or more, and good chances are you will have to mail order it. Finding predator shotgun shell loads in local stores is almost a joke.
This particular Win shell may be a trial run to see how the public will like it and how retailers will order it. Follow up orders may not happen, as manufactures are adopting an 80/20 plan on their production. The 80/20 plan is that 80% of their sales is in 20% of their production, this philosophy lends it's self to higher profit as set up time and changer overs are minimal at best. This is the major reason that we have seen rare caliber brass not produced by Win, Rem, and Federal. All these companies are publically traded stocks, and they report to Wall Street. Profits have to be up, so eliminating waste is critical for them.
If you find that your favorite choke/gun likes xyz brand/load, stock up best you can afford. I believe this is what you call hoarding, or get into reloading your own shot shells and it is very expensive to get set up to start loading buckshot, I would not advise it unless you are already a self professed looney on this stuff, as I am.
Not too many years ago, in this country, you had two choices in 12ga, 3" lead BB, and 3" #4 Buckshot...that was it...period, if you did not reload!! This is very hard to imagine for the young men out there reading this. If Hillary gets elected, things may change dramatically for the worst, especially if Ca. type laws are passed where back ground checks are used for ammo purchases.
Get what you can, while you can. If Liberal loonies get at the wheel, no telling what kind of ammo you will have access to as ammo makers come even under stricter control.
I will get off my soap box now, sorry for the rant.
There are many, many great predator shells on the market now, and during these hot Summer months is the very best time to test them using newspaper or other patten board material.
During late July and August, the pups are on their own, great time to get out and have some fun going from the pattern board to Hair! It would not be a stretch in some areas that every coyote will kill 80 fawns in their lifetime.
