We as a people are approaching a 16 1/2 trillion dollar debt. We have a money spending problem that much resembles a heroine addict.
This may be a much simpler example of what I was trying to say. As I guess even in the sport of varmint calling some have become delusional. Apparently, a $400 hammer is much better than hammer that cost $90. Do you think our governments mentality has become contagious?
And let's remember that the original topic was about night force scopes for coyote hunting. So in reality, if you were to tell me that you are a dedicated target shooter. That shot two to three thousand rounds per month. And truly required a scope that wasn't going to allow itself to be hammered apart. I would probably be more inclined to jump on the bandwagon. But in reality, most will not shoot 3000 coyotes in their lifetime. So I guess I will ask is it truly about a serviceable scope? Or is it just look what I have. I think most that have remained quiet on here know the answer.
Take care, Willie
I didn't notice this post until Tim N. replied to the first paragraph... and right now I'm waving the BS flag high above my head... Willie I have no idea who you are, or what you do... BUT as Tim said, how dare you throw numbers out that INCLUDE us with the senseless idiots who put it on their tab, and NEVER plan on paying it back... by the sounds of it you are much older than I, but yet do you fail to realize, most of us who use the equipment we run, is because of hard bust A$$ work... If you have the flow and you can afford it, run good equipment, there is a REASON it's more expensive... not to mention a little economical data for ya, but how is NightForce, Vortex, USO , custom barrel manufacturers, custom gunsmiths, Manners, etc. etc. etc. supposed to stay in business without guys like us buying and running their stuff... there is nothing delusional about MY sport, OUR sport of coyote calling... should I feel bad I'm using a 2500.00 optic on my hunting rifle if I can afford it? should I feel bad my partner runs a 4K dollar video camera to film hunts? you know what, I'm sure Les & his simmons supreme scope will work just fine (and guess what I bet he got his for free
), but I aint ever gonna use one... am I delusional?
