Probably wont beleive this

I dont know if it would kill a deer, but Daisy makes the powerline 880. I had one when I was a kid(20 years ago or so). It has a rifled barrel and you can single load pellets, or use a reserve full of BB's. Again, I dont know if you could kill a deer with it, but it slayed quite a few bothersome stray cats, and dispached them quite "humanely".

Its even better when someone doesnt know what thay are talking about and then get mad about it LOL!!!!! and for thew record my PELLET gun WILL FIRE BB,s

next

My old Crossman .177 air rifle would fire BB's as well. It never worked quite the same after the day we got the bright idea to hunt ducks with them by swiming up to them underwater "commando" style. Yeah, kids do stupid stuff.

A few weeks back the local PD charged a guy for killing his neighbors labrador with one shot from some type of air rifle / BB gun. The dog was 3 houses away, guessing around 75 yard shot. I dont think he meant to kill it, only shut it up (which he did!), but got charged just the same and caused a bit of a stir in the process. TV reporter even showed up on his porch later on, must have been a slow news day.

Hmmm... Lets see. Thousands of hours of manpower, millions if not billions of dollars invested, thousands of miles crossed and recrossed in seconds flat. Creating the internet so people can argue whether a BB gun can kill a deer... priceless.
I love the internet, thank you Al Gore!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-006.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Stupid?! Dude, that's the stuff that makes boys grow up into spec op soldiers /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

By the way, ya'll.....for years it's been said that the Red Ryder was reponsible for many thousands of enemy deaths in the Pacific theatre of WW2.

Indirectly, of course.

It wasnt all that good of an idea, we ruined our rifles and didnt get any ducks either! As it turns out, its pretty difficult to swim underwater with a rifle in one hand. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif Had fun though.
As for diving gear, I think a pair of cut off jeans was about it! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

I heard that Winchester along with Alliant powder were working on a cartridge using a 45/70 case necked down to a 177 caliber BB. Should be out next year. I plan on using it on my bigfoot hunt in new jersey next season
