Randy Anderson

I have Randy's videos as well and certainly enjoy them. He has personality, a sense of humor and the knowledge required to give his videos credibility.
I'll have to admit, I liked the fact that, IMO, he was simply using calls that he felt were the best...or at least his favorites. I'm sure it was partly because he knew and liked the makers, but he showed no overt favoritism toward one over the others. It led one to believe they were all good and we just needed to find the one we liked best.
The Primos video is certainly more commercial and an attempt to sell a product but I don't see a problem with that either.
Randy is one of the best - and probably the best known caller around. He worked hard to get there and deserves his place. If he choses to endorse Primos calls, I think it is just like someone wearing and endorsing Realtree or Mossy Oak or Remington or Winchester or whatever.
We see everyone who is at the top of their industry endorsing something. Michael Jordon and Nike...Pro football players and Gatorade.
I say Bravo to Randy for becoming a self-made icon of the sport. He got where he is by hard work and ability and I hope he makes a good living at it for years to come...it would save some wear and tear on several bulldozers in Nebraska... :)

bill i have to say you hit it on the nose. i will promote anny product that i am cofident in. i am sure randy is no different, i know from experiance that their product works just like i know hundreds of other calls work. the only call i have played with that i have not had a coyote respond to is a johnny stewart rubber band call. but i have friends that say they work so i will keep trying it untill i feal that they have their place. but my results may be different than yours.

I'm going to have to check out this guy you call "Randy". It appears as though many have placed him on a high pedestal. Just buy the comments I've read one would think "Randy" may just be the messia who can do no wrong.
Where can you purchase one of these calls?

I think I've got all of his videos, and though the Verminators was a little over the top with the "talk to 'ya later" schtick (ughh), all good watches. His later ones are the best video value going as well. Four hours for $20 or so? You bet!

I've got the two latest from Primos. Good info, again, and fun to watch, but holy cow, Will Primos is a pain in the A$S. It's a struggle to not fast forward any time his face comes up on the screen. Especially in the latest one, the Instructional video. Randy Anderson would have been well served to backhand that fool a time or two!

For my viewing enjoyment, I wish he hadn't of hooked up with Primos, but, I'm sure it was a good move for him. With that move, he's probably made himself the most well known coyote caller out there. Not a bad deal when you're trying to sell coyote hunting videos!

I agree with Bill JH ,I wish I could quit playing in sh___poop for a living and do what I enjoy! I post pics and stories of animals I have taken using certain products, because they have worked for me! not because I am paid to do so,YET! I'm open to offers though!
I have many calls that sound great to me and I have never called in anything but crows to them! I have some that sound like crap to me and I've killed many yotes with them!to each his own!
I even watch that guy ,what's his name? you know he does those coming to the call videos!

BWAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA. That funny, Coming to the Call videos, BWahahahahahahaha. Nice parting of the hair guess. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

I dont know if anyone here caught it, but they had a 30min clip of Mr. Anderson on the outdoor channel this last weekend Friday night maybe, the Primo's show ?? I was impressed, first time I've seen any coyote hunting footage. The one thing I noticed when he howled and the pack responded, the response sounded like the coyote locator on a JS Preymaster.

Thanks for the plug Glenn, /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Heelerdog,

What are you laughing at? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif Everybody knows that the guy on the "Coming to the Call" videos is the best looking guy in the business /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

I don't know about much, but I do know that my most successful call is a cheap (7 buck) Primos "Still Cottontail Distress" call. I practice with it allot, and have allot of confidence in it (That's the key). You ever notice how no two people call the same...even with same call? As far as private land goes I seem to find coyotes everywhere. Sometimes I have to wait longer but that puts more challenge into it. I think in a derby that would be an unfair advantage (Some folks don't, based on some of last winter's derbies). Ultimately, for films, it would be pretty boring watching a two hour video of two guys getting nothing...of course they are going to the best spots...it just makes sence.

here's the stats
primos truth 1 not sure how long pretty slow pretty full of ads and filler BORING!
randy anderson 4 hours est. has a lot of good coyote footage ,footage of his dog, footage of turkeys, footage of him and his dozer.that is all cool stuff but I want to see predator killing! don't get me wrond I like to see the other stuuf too but I buy a predator video to see predator killing!
I have watched his video many times it is good stuff! but lots of time filler!
BYRON SOUTH'S comming to the call 1 - 1 hour and 12 minutes of some informative stuff and lots of killin' not much filler!
coming to the call 2 - 1 hour and 30 minute some infomative stuff and lots of killin' not much filler

and the newest to my collection, Texas Prdator Pursuit, didn't notice how long and it doesn't say ,a little bit of informative stuff and lots of killin'

now my point is, do you buy them to watch and learn about killin' predators or is there some other reason!
keep'em coming boys! KILLIN VIDEOS ,hum ,hey If I ever do one I'm gonna call it "LOW FAT PREDATOR KILLIN' TEXAS STYLE" see me grinnin'
