I have Randy's videos as well and certainly enjoy them. He has personality, a sense of humor and the knowledge required to give his videos credibility.
I'll have to admit, I liked the fact that, IMO, he was simply using calls that he felt were the best...or at least his favorites. I'm sure it was partly because he knew and liked the makers, but he showed no overt favoritism toward one over the others. It led one to believe they were all good and we just needed to find the one we liked best.
The Primos video is certainly more commercial and an attempt to sell a product but I don't see a problem with that either.
Randy is one of the best - and probably the best known caller around. He worked hard to get there and deserves his place. If he choses to endorse Primos calls, I think it is just like someone wearing and endorsing Realtree or Mossy Oak or Remington or Winchester or whatever.
We see everyone who is at the top of their industry endorsing something. Michael Jordon and Nike...Pro football players and Gatorade.
I say Bravo to Randy for becoming a self-made icon of the sport. He got where he is by hard work and ability and I hope he makes a good living at it for years to come...it would save some wear and tear on several bulldozers in Nebraska...
