Can you tell if it's sedge or wild wheat? I've heard there's some crabgrass imitations going around.

Sean, mine was just a little different than that. May have been an earlier model. If nothing else, I may just get one of those. Thanks.

I guess mines an old Boyd Martin crow call with the original cardboard tube and tin screw on cap.
picked it up at a car show.

Nasa go to ebay, the Faulks are common and you can get one for about next to nothing.

Lol...Thats funny Lance. The one in my collections not quite that old but it belonged to Ishi.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Pete good to see you popping in on the board, and tell my soft calling friend that he needs to get you out more /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Rich when can I see the pic?

I have a couple of the call's Jay referes to but not that Cofin Call?

One of the oldest calls that I have and really like is a Joe Jaroski Fox Call from 1952. More fore its looks then anything. Its kind of nestalgic(sp) looking. Like some of the fellars posting here....LOL /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Be safe fellas,
Todd

Todd, is it signed and dated? Is it the barrel shaped or long curvy one? That was a real find. Congratulations.

No, Nasa I don't have anything that old. I'm just funn'in with Lance. The grass blade thing anyway!

What call you asking about? The Jaroski?

Be safe,
Todd

Nassa,
Go to Google and type in "Faulk p60 Call" It comes up with a link to Faulk
Once there it list a three piece set. Hope this helped.

Thanks OT. If I can't locate that earlier model I once had, I'll probably do just that.

This is a couple of them NASA, I know I have two others here that are different, but I have to find them.

Thanks Yellowhammer.

Todd

Here they are on photobucket.

Very nice set, Todd. And a couple from the early 50's, as well. The more I see from your collection, the more impressed I am.

Ok fellas I dug them out of the closet.

Nasa they are all signed and dated.

Starting left to right;

1953 Number in barrel reads 55
1952 Number in barrel reeds 44
1999 No Number
1999 ''
1999 ''
1999 ''

Uncle Jay thanks for making me look....I really like the way the reeds are installed on the older two calls.

Todd

Fake Circes ??
Todd, show them a picture of old walnut Circe I made in 1960 with JC hand tuned reed. I think a lot of Circes made from Walnut, maple, and laminate Walnut/maple were made by me in wood shop at Luke AFB, had reeds installed by JC and gave away- now people think they are custom made Circes. If your great collector items don't have decal they might be early Granthams!!!!
