Remington 700 VTR

I cant stand trolls who pop into threads, talk smack and then get offended when they are exposed for being a constant pain in the [beeep].You make it dam near impossible to respond to you wihtout taking it personally, read what you write and then rethink your approach, you are coarse, arrogant and you come off as a know it all with very little real knowledge of the topics you choose to flame over. When I dont have any first hand knowledge of the topic or product at hand i dont try to tell people its junk just because I prefer another brand,I also try not to insult people who cant afford top of the line equipment but are making do with what they have, you do this constantly and Im tired of it.We cant all afford the equipment you claim to have and we dont need you telling us everything we use is junk,we are here to share and gain some knowledge of these products, not to berated by you for choosing something subpar to your neverending supply of expensive products. You say you wernt ripping on the product yet you use terms like tupperware, and(its geared towards guys like you who dont know any better)and (i hear for 7 more dollars you can get a ncstar with it) ECT ECT.Not only are you ripping on the product you are ripping on the people who own them, wth makes you so much better than us?The fact that you may possibly be able to afford more expensive equipmenty doesnt mean a [beeep] thing to me and you attitude makes it clear to me you probably dont have any idea what an [beeep] you are.Im not the only guy here who is sick of our threads becoming a bashing party for you,Im just the first guy tying to make it obvious to you,I doubt it will do any good at all though.

I have fondled one, but never shot one. If it shoots like a normal 700, accuracy will not be a problem.

I personally can not like the brake, nor the triangular fluted barrel, nor the tupperware stock. If you wanted to switch the stock, now you would be stuck, for obvious reasons.

I'll stick with round, un-braked barrels.

This is the reply that got your panties in a bundle? Yes, I can see how highly offensive it is....... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I think you read into stuff WAAAAAAY too far. Apparently honest opinions are not tolerated by you unless they concur with your own feelings.......

If you reread the thread, I believe it was you who took the first poke. Apparently you are easily angered by others opinions if you disagree with them.....

I have never locked down a thread and I don't plan to start.

Everyone here needs to back up and relax. Keep it to the issues at hand in this thread. No personnal jabs. If you don't like a product, state why and leave it at that. Others can base their decisions on the facts.

Facts maam' just the facts. SGT Friday

If you do not have an educated opinion of the 700 VTR, pass on by.

Seems to me, this was an honest opinion of the VTR. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Can't help it if Tonya doesn't agree and got her panties all wadded up..........

Anyways, I'm done here.....

First off, I have shut down several topics over the years and sent several folks packing to other place on the net to act like children. I am not trying to offend you guys but come on it is not worth this kind of name calling or back and forth threads. We need to stick with the topic as RC has mentioned.

It is a good thing to disagree on products. Everyone would have the same thing and no one would be in business if we did not. Expressing opinions is not a problem. It should not matter if it is good or bad. It is ones opinion.

Personally, I did not see anything wrong with the tupperware comment as it refers to a syn stock to me. I have an SPS with this type of stock on it and in my opinion is it a piece of junk as my rifle did not shoot well with it installed. However, if the rifle shoots well enough for the owner that is all that matters.

Now on the hearing protection comments, you will go deaf and that is a proven fact. It just takes longer in hunting situations that competition. As far as electronic ears, we use them on our SWAT team and you can hear folks inside houses and mine picks up voices 100 yds away. They are good in my opinion and much better than normal hearing of a human.

Well said Steve. "Tupperware" is a WIDELY used expression in the gun world. Never even considered it may upset someone. Anyway, your other comments are well taken also.....

It is geared toward guys like you, who don't know any better.

Is that a widly used expression? You dont consider anything when you type.

I am very interested in the VTR in 308 so thanks for the info guys. On the subject of ,"tupperware". It has been my understanding that it applied to the cheap flimsy, synthetic stocks. In my understanding, a good solid synthetic stock would not be "tupperware'. I certainly had a "tupperware" stock on one of my Savages, that had to go. All synthetic stocks are not created equally.
