No, I did not double major. I was an electronics Tech in the Navy during the Viet Nam era. I used my GI bill to get my EE degree in Spokane, and then went to night school 5 years later, for 2 1/2 years, to get the mechanical degree. Johnson Matthey Electronic Materials paid for most of my classes since they were job related to the automation work I did for them. A good working knowledge of both engineering fields is very helpful when you are designing automated production lines. It also pays better when you have both sheepskins.
You sound a little sceptical, but I don't recall doubting your credentials.
