rimfire scope?

What do you guys suggest for a 22mag as far as a scope? It will go on my CZ . I have a Leupold rimfire 2-7x on order but may just put it on my 10-22.
 
The Redfield 2-7x rimfire is cool. Nikon has a new 3-9x with an AO designed for rimfires. It is intriguing. But, the Leupold would probably be a "top shelf" rimfire setup.

FWIW, I'm about to put a Mueller APV on my incoming 17 HMR.
 
I like a little higher end power on my rimfires, helps me on smaller targets. Have a 4-16x50 on 17HMR and 4.5-14x40 on 10/22. Plus I enjoy the higher power when punching paper at 100 yds, you can see clearly where they are hitting on black dots when dialed up.
 
weaver rv7 2.5-7x28. You will love it. This scope has a long following. I had it on a number of guns but finally sold off my last rimfire. Wouldn't even consider another scope for a hunting and plinking rimfire.

I bought the Nikon Prostaff rimfire and really like it. I put it on my 10 22 and was hitting 16 oz water bottles at 150 yards with excellent accuracy.
 
For hunting I run a 4x Nikon on my 10/22 and it is plenty for targets and squirrels out to 50, it starts getting tricky around 60-75 for me with the 4x but then again I rarely ever get a shot at a squirrel at 60.

unloaded i am right across the river from both you and 243 lol.
 
I've got a Hawke SF 4x16 on one, which has a very nice reticule...which is a lot of scope for the money actually....and a Clearidge XP 6-20 on a HMR. The Clearidge blew me away. Way clearer than my Leupy Vari-X III.

Never looked through a Clearidge rimfire scope, but would definitely not be scared to give it a try. They are my new brand of choice.
 
I like the Leupold rimfire but that fine crosshair is almost too fine. In fading light it is almost impossible to see. For punching paper though man it is nice. It is like surgically accurate. The Weaver rimfire rocks. I have several and they are bulletproof. That said the Leupold VX-R 2-7x28 is high on my list. These other ones the guys have mentioned look nice too. A good rimfire scope can make the rifle for sure.

They are made in Japan.
