I have one of the new 77/44 "All Weather" rifles and like it just fine. I've killed two coyote's with it so far, but this was done while deer hunting. I would not consider it a primary coyote/bobcat rifle, but that's simply my opinion. They can be very finicky until a load is found it likes, but certainly capable of the job if you don't mind hide damage.
I lapped the rings on mine, as well as performed a trigger job and shimmed the two piece bolt. Also made a round bedding washer from a bicycle inner tube. Mine wears a Leupold matte 4X as well. The rotary magazine can be problematic if you're wanting to use certain bullets, but for the most part that can be worked around also. I've done a good bit of testing with mine with various jacketed and cast bullets and have found several that will shoot very well.
Good luck to ya'
