running coyotes with dogs

Ive done both styles of hunting and actually had doubts that i would enjoy running dogs after yotes but honestly I loved every minute of it. I didnt even bring a gun. I went to learn first and for most. AS for people shooting out of there trucks yeah i can see where that would make a person mad, i dont condone that, but working a section in order to get a shot I think is fine. Running dogs isnt as easy as it sounds. Its just diffrent and as hunters we better pull are heads out from between our legs and support all legal methods even if its not our choosen way. I hate rifles, I mean I ABSOLUTELY DESPISE them, but you dont here me telling someone else they shouldnt be using one, because if its a legal method to hunt then its fine with me. To each his own and hunters need to UNITE so we dont ruin our passion over a pissing match

I have been running hounds for about 4 years know and love it. All the land I hunt I have permission for, I have had land owners come to me and ask me to hunt there land for coyotes. No matter what type of hunting there is you will have people that do not obey the laws, the land, and exc. that is just the way it is sorry to say. People say how can it be a sport if the dogs are running the coyotes, is it any diffrent for coon hunters, I don't think so, what is so sporting about sending a dog in after a coon and then chasing up a tree becuse it is trying to hide and get away then the owner of the dogs walk in and shoot it, don't get me wrong I am not bashing coon hunting I do that to when time permitts me I am just trying to make a point about hound hunting. People talk about radios I use radios because it is leagal to. If my hounds were somehow to get on someones property I would ask to go in and get them, even though I don't have to. A person on foot may, without permission, enter private land without an firearm to retrieve a hunting dog. After retrieveing the dog the hunter must immediately leave the premises, this is what it says rite in the rule book but I still ask out of respect, for the land owner. Bottomline is we need to stick together on hunting and stop bitching and crying about it, I don't like hounds in the area I hunt, first of all it someone else's area to say who can hunt and not hunt, if they are trespassing then turn them in, it is that simple. It does not take a brain surgent to figure it out. If you do not like that type of hunting fine don't do, but keep your pie ole shout and don't bash it. Remember the first sign of recovery is admitting your problem.
