"Over valued" scope? I have no clue as to what you're trying to say??? Are you saying that IOR 35mm scopes are overpriced vs. their performance and quality (like Leupold)? Or, are you insulting me because this is a $1,200 scope and the build components of the rifle equal less than $1,000?
If you're going to insult me then at least be clear as to how you're doing so.
By the way, I have a Remington 700 action that is waiting for me to decide on my next build. I went with the Stevens 200 action sort of on a whim (just to test whether or not the action could perform well in a custom build), not just to save money. Then again, I don't want to assume that thinking outside the box is an activity a man of your intellect can handle.
Just out of curiousity, what kind of scope would YOU use to outfit a custom build? For that matter, what components would you use if you were to go the custom route for under $1K? If you're going to criticize my decisions, at least show me where your solutions would be better...
