Shooting sticks/tripod

What are y'alls favorite shooting sticks or do you prefer a tripod? I just used a set of Bog sticks & they're real nice. Only shoot sitting down, not standing...

I use a bogpod tripod. My gun balances right in in the saddle so I can set it just about right up to my shoulder, have both hands free and minimal movement to get on the gun. The only drawback is it's harder than using sticks if you have to move to the side a good bit for a shot, but because of the cover here and my setups I usually only have a narrow window in front of me to shoot anyway.

The pic shows how it sets and balances. I do stand and do it this way if a set up requires better visibility, but I try to sit if I can and just retract the legs.

For my hunting style where I only shoot sitting down, shooting sticks work very well for me. I started out with a couple different versions of homemade sticks, then upgraded to the Bogpod shooting sticks. I really like my Bogpod sticks!

I tried 2 different versions of monopods and did not like them at all. I could not get stable enough. I have not tried a tripod, but think they would be a bit more cumbersome to carry to the stand and more difficult to reposition if necessary. I think tripods would work better for hog hunting in a spot/stalk/standup shooting situation.

I use a BogPod tripod most of the time as well. I also VersaPods at times, especially when groundhog hunting.

Stoney Point, now Primos, telescoping sitting standing (25-62in) Polecat shooting sticks.

I have had mine for several years now. They are tough but light and are great for sitting on a stool but can telescope to standing height, just in case. They have replaced all my other shooting sticks.

Home made sticks and a short bipod for prone shoots. tall bipods are too short if your not on flat ground and can get tangled in brush whe you try to swing your rifle with them extended

These are what I use when sitting also.

I prefer them to the predator sniper sticks I used to have since they will collapse for easier carry and storage.

When calling at night I stand and use Bogpod CLD tripod sticks.

These are better IMO than the Primos trigger stick tripod that I used before and still have as a back up pair.

I use the Primos trigger stick tripod. Not sure why anyone would think the Bogpod is better, considering you have to adjust each leg individually, whereas on the Primos you just pull the trigger and it does it all for you... But to each their own.

i use bog pod tripod also. like stated, its difficult to reposition but the solid rest is worth it. Been thinking of bringing my folding polecats for shots behind me. they fold up small and fit in my vest. But I can shoot about 170* with the tripod.

So do I but they went Titz up!!!

Yeah I've been lucky enough to snag a couple so I should be set for a bit, unless I lose them or break them.

If anyone has a set of sniper stix that they would like to sell i would be interested.I lost mine in South Dakota last year.

I prefer the bog pod to the trigger stick because it has a wider leg spread so I can get it just the way I want.

Not sure if all the trigger sticks are like mine but when I pick it up to reposition (often necessary when hunting at night as they have a way of showing up behind you are circling you) the legs to not stay in position. If I pick straight up, and swing around the legs fold up making me loose time trying to get them spread out again.

I do like being able to adjust the height with a pull of the trigger, but once I am set up, I don't really need to do that.
