Went out 2 days ago to try a different method of hunting coyotes. Some of the country i hunt has huge basins with tall buttes. What i'm starting to do now is get up on top of these buttes with a pair of Big Eyes-- twin spotting scopes mounted in a precision bracket that allows use of higher-power optics with extremely wide FOV's. My setup is 2 Bushnell Spacemaster II's with 22X WA oculars/big Leupold tripod, and it is just fantastic for it's purpose. I bet with this system even with mild mirage i could see dogs at close to 2 miles away. It's the spot and stalk hunters dream come true for comfortable long-term long-distance scanning.
