Stereo-Mono Issues

It looks they did turn the unit around in the pictures...

in the overall length, the two units appear to be the same. if there is any advantage, it may be when you look the width of the units. The high quality TOA speaker attached to the unit, may make the Miniska have a greater width dimension measurement. but in my opinion, not enough to argue about.

Norm,

The biggest systems out there are not that much bigger either. The problem is that in todays world, most people are looking for maximum portability. A little bit can go a LONG way when hunting all day in the field.

interesting!

Gary, where did your comparison of the bandit/wt thread go?

I lightly skimmed it and went to go back for the full read and now I can't find it.

Did someone pull it or have it pulled???

What forum was it in? I did not pull any thread nor have I been informed of anyone else pulling a thread.

I don't remember, it was a thread about a "new old friend" that had just gotten a WT so nashuatl hunted with the guy.

Is this the shot you are looking for ?

We also have smaller units for the guys that want to travel light.

Now lets see the Prairie Blaster next to the FX at the same angle.

Mr Dillon, I hear what you are saying.

The challenge has been, is and will for ever be, that one person's definition of portability, quality, ease of use, or any subjective characteristic, will be a personal one. As such, there will always be debates of which widget is better.

Thank you for creating a fine calling unit.

The Bandit,

If you notice on the Prairie Blaster, there are no protruding speakers. They are protected inside the unit. If you want to make overall area dimensions, I will be glad to do so. Keep in mind that the Prairie Blaster was not intended to be a compact call though, nor would we offer it as such.

Norm Johnson,

Thanks for the reply. I certainly understand that everyone has certain wants and needs, and we are forever striving to make a unit for everyone's needs. Some people like to carry heavy barrel rifles around, while others want something a little easier and lighter to carry, although these rifles are about the same size, give or take just a little.

The Big Country was not intended to be compact either and we are NOT offering it as such. I'm just trying to point out that the unit is not as large as you would like to lead others to believe.

BINGO!!! thanks!

I don't know much about the call quality between stereo or mono, but if anybody here in the East called in more coyotes than Posummal does with his FX5 or Scorpion, it would be dangerous to be in the area.

In 2002, the Jesamine County Gazett newspaper did a full page artical about the hundreds of coyotes Possumal has killed in Ky. He's been steadily putting them on the ground since then. Last weekend he called in 12. That's a typical weekend for him. You would have to look long and hard to find anybody in the East that kills anywhere near the numbers he does. 12 may not sound like a high number to people out West were there are coyotes everywhere, but here in the East that's quite a feat. I doubt that very many Western hunters could come over here and call in those kind of numbers.

Ah weed wacker you wouldn't happen to have a link to that article would ya, all i see is a 2002 article.

I guess some pics would solve any dispute?

I didn't know 20 years ago that coyotes were so thick in KY.I guess a guy learns something every day.

Randi Rider, If you need photos, just go to the Foxpro Field Staff photo album. Or maybe where Will Primos featured him in his 1999 catalogue.
And to stay on topic, are you mono? Or stereo? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Weedwacker- I see maybe a half dozen pics of coyotes in the FP photo album. Posts were through the 06-07-season. Maybe I missed something.

As for the 99 primos deal well if you send a pic with a dead coyote and I used your call, well whatever.

Point of this is to determine actual facts of the statements. So you can use that in determining whether stereo or mono, according to what was said is actually working to the degree Al has stated! If in fact the numbers stated were factual and substantuated the post would carry more merit.

Oh and weedwacker if you think SD is west enough to have coyotes everywhere and their so easy, come on out and give it a whirl. We all are at risk of seein the bullst-t flag being thrown when you start sayin numbers.

12 coyotes in a weekend is "typical"???....in KY???? Did you forget the decimal point??

Not for most people, just the good ones. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif
