Stoney point rapid pivot bipod

I was considering buying some but I will probably go with the Primos. The way I feel about Bushnell and there customer service is "fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me". Wont buy anything from them!

I'm gonna blow the dust off of this one. Does anyone know if they've fixed their defective rubber compound or is it still an issue?

Thanks.

My buddy bought a pair and it seems that the rubber is softer and more flexible so it will not break as easy. However the sticks have a wobble in them and doesnt seem to give as solid a rest. I swithed to the Hunter Specialities quick shot

The Snipe-pod is heads above ALL the other pods on the market. I've had one for a couple years and love it. The legs attach in a ball and socket design, so they can move independantly in any direction. Lighter, tougher, instant on/off rifle, independant leg movement makes em easier to use on uneven ground. They're not cheap, but once you try one, you'll be patting yourself on the back for getting the best bang for your buck in a bi-pod.

I have had 4 come apart on me. I buy them from Cabela's and they are about 20 miles from me. I haven't returned them yet but I will soon. I had the metal pull out of the rubber on all of them. I repaired on and it is still working but looks rough with electrical tape on it.

My original ones are still going strong after almost 7 years of use. I actually bought my cousins from him the other day so I now have two sets of the black ones.

I have several sets of these from old to new. The good news is that Bushnell will now sell you the replacement yoke for $5. Just ordered 5 of them. The bad news is, they are still breaking in the cold.

Even so, this is the best bipod system for coyote hunting I've found and I've tried several. Far from perfect, but the best I've found.

I just bought a set and when I try to take the bipod off the gun, the bipod pulled out from the rubber. Maybe a stupid question, but do u just push it in to install and then just pull it out? I had to get channel locks to pull the piece off the adapter. I must not be doing something right.

Good idea......bad product. Had 2 of them and they didn't last but a few times before the rubber yoke broke. Took them apart and made a set of shooting sticks out of them. Wouldn't buy another set if they were giving them away.

If you want a set of these try finding the older ones with the black rubber on ebay or something. The gray ones arent worth having due to the cold weather issues but I have two sets of the black ones and they are both 7 or so years old and never gave me a problem.

I'm guessing Stoney Point sold to Primos because I couldn't find a Stoney Point rapid pivot bipod. So I bought the Primos ones about a month ago. So far I love them, but I am also wondering where I can get additional mounts so I can use them on multiple rifles.

I've picked up the mounting hardware whenever I've seen it. A couple on ebay, and a couple at a small gun shop. I have this set up on at least 10 guns and love it.

Guessing Primos will sell the hardware sooner or later. Otherwise, what is the point of the system.

I would say watch Ebay, check out gun shops and maybe be patient as I think Primos will come with this stuff. For the short stint that Bushnell owned this system you could get virtually any supplies you needed. I picked up 10 of the "Y" yokes and some mounting hardware...

Started messing around with the studs on mine. Figured out they can be made easily removed by using a cotter pin instead of having to stay permanently attached. I have one on each of my four calling guns, but now I only need one. Plus, I don't have it in the way when shooting from a bench.
