I've thought about it for the bed of my truck. I ambush some every year heading back to bed in the mornings. But the cab of the truck is windproof.
100 to 200 yards, wow!!! In this open ground here it's 1/4 to 1/2 mile to get away from the truck, which can usually still be seen.
Just a suggestion in the state( IL ) don't even think of shooting out of or leaning against your vehicle as there is a huge fine and they can take your car or truck used in the commission of a crime. Every state has different rules so be careful.
thanks for the warning Rifleman. In Arkensaw, as long as you're 100 feet off of a public road, and the vehicle is stoped, you are OK.
I set on field roads and watch for the coyotes mousing or traveling in the mornings.
21 lbs is nothing... heck... I carry a 24 lb treestand on my back... plus a fanny pack... plus my big butt through the woods... over the hills... and across raging streams. I thought this foldable setup would be good for hunting and for just shooting... and with straps... it would carry easy... what do ya say...
Thanks to Dogcatcher... I just ordered one for a total of 78.98... and that incudes shipping.... what a deal. I can think of several places to use it.... thanks Dogcatcher......
You guys that carry these to call coyotes from....
man, you guys are tough customers!
Even if I didn't already have 2 herniated discs, there's no way I could, or would want to carry a 17#-20# seat.
Heck I think carrying one that weighs 2# is a bad enough, LOL.
My hat's off to you guys!
i have an RCBS R.A.S.S. bench that has wheels for PD and gopher hunting and it works awsome, but i wouldnt dream of hauling it all over the place for coyotes. you guys are tough
