I bought one about 5 years ago and mounted it on a Rem 700 Sendero in 25-06 caliber for long range PD's.
I have used it for quite a few PD sessions over the last 4 summers, and I have cranked the dials up, down , and sideways and the point of impact always comes back to zero when I'm finished. Overall, I have been very pleased with the one I have.
However, I have also read reports by others who have not been pleased with theirs for various reasons from clarity, adjustment repeatability, etc. I don't know if I just got a good one or if the other reports are on the few bad ones out there.
I just know I'm pleased with the one in 16x power that I have in all respects. And it compares favorably with a couple of Leupold VX-III's that I have as well as several other makes of scopes that I own costing more that the SS that I also use for PD shooting.
With all that said, I'd probably buy another one if needed. But, for various reasons that have nothing to do with the SS scope itself, I might just as easily buy something else the next time, too.
How's that for sounding overly pleased and still being wishy-washy? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
