Thank you all for your comments. I enjoy a little fire once in a while. By the way I did not offer this as a "true american test." I have always thought that you vote with your dollar. If you look at products as candidates, then by purchasing them, you vote for who you think is best. Like everyone my house is filled with foreign made objects. I hate that. I also know it is viewed as narrow minded and old school and it is not going to change, but I also don't like foreign dependency. Foreign countries (China I fear most) have invested heavily in our country. It scares me. Look at todays events. Greece's problems are causing more problems for us. Why is one of the most powerful countries in the world's economy dependent on some little european one's?? It is kind of like the gun rights movement. One person is not going to change anything, but if we all started "voting" a little different with our money, maybe something would change. I don't spend lots of time going out of my way to buy American, but if I am looking at several products, I nearly always buy the American made one. By the way I don't like Taurus because I think their quality is poor. You can argue all day, but that is my opinion after owning (yes, I know I am a hypocrite) several. They did not hold together, their tolerances seemed loose, trigger pulls were terrible, I have had better luck with smith and wesson's customer service, and their resale value is signficantly less when you want to trade, or recoup part of your investment. I have a hard time seeing any taurus products increasing in value the way some other brands have and will. As a small businessman struggling in today's economy, I guess i sympathize with our american companies. They make a good product and are trying to compete against an inferior product made with much cheaper inputs (mostly labor I would guess). The original poster asked about them. I don't like (borderline hate) them for a whole lot of reasons.
