Curt and dPointer,
I have used every electronic caller that has been made, and some I made myself. In fact, my homemade tape player is lighter, louder, and only cost me under $50.00 to build, than all the tape players out there. An electronics engineer friend from New Hampshire told me how to build it.
Like I have said in the past, and I will say it again, I like(and now use) a unit that has a remote that will work every time from distances over a 1/4 mile if need be, weighs less than 5 lbs, can change sounds with the touch of a button, can store up to 100 sounds at the touch of a button, when the volume is turned up to full it will rattle the speaker if need be,yet NO distortion of that sound, uses real animal recordings for the sounds, has clarity of sound that no one else can match, can run all day and then some on one battery charge, has no moving parts to freeze up in cold weather, is contained on a fanny pack or over the shoulder strap, and just flat out works wonders on lions. If want the apple, buy the WT, if you want the orange, buy something else.
As far as pictures go, I have posted dozens of them on another hunting board, most of which I have removed. My clients, students and friends get to see them, and they get to see the WT in action. I also have 100's of feet of video footage of bobcats, coyotes, foxes, lions, and bears coming to the WT and they get to see those if we have the time when they are here. I have been advised to stop posting my pics, and I am doing just that for my own reasons. There are a few on my web site if you are interested in seeing pics.
In the last 38 years, I have seen alot of things change in this game. Some changes were good, other not so good. But the advances in the electronic caller industry has to be one of the best changes. I for one am glad it has.
Wiley, and Leonard, this is not a commercial, just an answer to a question asked. Just wanted to make that clear.
Steve
