Well, I did not get to read whatever it was that was posted by Shanedogg and then deleted. But I think I have a pretty good clue. Let's just say I keep a little bit of powder/bullets on hand just in case I may one day have the inclination to learn to reload and shoot. These are old pics and supply was running a tad low, sorry

A couple powder choices(sorry but I could not fit all of it in the pic):

The bullets that won't fit in my ammo cabinet because it is already full(and so is the top shelf of my safe):

A few also over near one of my reloading benches:

Other than that, I don't shoot much..........

well i'll have to swallow my pride and say thats a true statment...but i will say that fully stocked gun room/reloading bench and 10,000+posts does not make you a know-it-all, and stating that i solely puchased mark5's cuz of price tag, and that you dont understand why guys like me post "crap like that" was the spark...if i dont feel that i know what i'm talkin about ...i dont post... guess i got steriotyped as a novice...no way to prove yourself online.. good times on pred.masters!

Shanedogg,

1) Nobody said a fully stocked bench made anyone a know-it-all

2) Nobody said post count means anything

3) Nobody said anything about why you purchased anything

True or not? You conjured up all these little assumptions all on your own. None of them have ANYTHING to do with the topic at hand or what was said.

Now, if you would like, you can tell me WHY you feel the Savage is "better" than the Vanguard, and WHY the Mark V is more accurate than both, based on your experience with all 3, of course. I mean, that is what you said, and what the conversation was about, right? Or you can choose to keep frolicking through fantasy land humming tunes of post counts and powder stashes.

Feel free to get as intricate as you like, I'm very familiar with all 3 actions, and I'll try to keep up.

While you are at it, please explain to me why the Mark V comes with a 1.5" accuracy guarantee and costs 4X as much as the Vanguard which is guaranteed sub-moa out of the box. I've never been able to figure that one out, but hope to with your help.........

to get back to the .223...i've never seen a .223 bolt gun that was inaccurate, all a tad over an inch or much better...like i said in one of my previous posts, "sometimes you get a lemon" bolt 223's that come to mind that i've dealt w/ ,sav,rem,ruger,cz...now to the weatherby's...the mark 5's that i've fired have shot an inch or better w/ factory and handloads, couldnt tell you bout their 1.5 guaranty...as for the vangard2, i anticipated its arival, adj trigg, sub moa garranty, .257 wby chamber, and so on...purchased the rifle in 257 cuz i wanted a good cheap "beater" topped it w/decent/cheap imo glass(nikon monarch 6-24x50) cranked out some test loads and went to the range(back yard)...3 diff.bullets( seirra, nos.,berg) about 12 different pwder config. and i couldnt get that thing to shoot better than an 1 1/2...as for there sub moa talk...i couldnt tell ya..like i said, maybe i got a lemon...so i decided to give the cheap s.o.b. a tune up and so w/ nothing to lose out came the dremel and the foreend got hogged out to make room for a dollar bill, while i was at it i hit the recoil lug reccess, chamber area, and the rear tang, mixed up some epoxy and put it to bed, stopped by to see my buddy jeff at timney and got a 3#, set a swarovski z5 on top and back to the range, end result, it likes the berger 115 vld's w/ some rl25(under 1" w/ a couple g's at 5/8")...lot of work and coin to make a "cheap" gun work.never had to do that w/ a savage... so thats why i would recomend savage over weatherby....good hunting to ya 2muchgun....
