Good or bad, one thing that I really like about the really high compression of the Bering Optics video is I turn it on when I start a stand, and turn it off when done. No need for RAV because it is always recording while hunting. When the night is done, copy them all to the computer and delete the ones with no action, and trim up the ones where coyotes showed up. A person could record about 8 full nights of hunting. I am not trying to turn this into a Bering thread from a Pulsar one, but just worth mentioning. I didn't like the high compression at first, but I will admit it is nice not having to worry about pressing record during a stand.
As for RAV, I did not find it reliable, personally. However, as others have mentioned, I could have it on as a backup and then still try to start recording manually.
Video recording coyote kills gets addicting. It is a lot of work, but as 6mm says, you can't seem to hunt without it once you start.
