Too blue? Or ok for Ford fans?

Bored and messing around in the shop lately and came up with this for a night rifle. I like the splinter camo pattern but am on the fence here. I like it but I don’t. I’m thinking I should have swapped the black and blue around. It also looks a bit darker in person vs the picture if that matters to you.

Opinions?

Oh man! Those unnatural straight lines and sharp angles are going to draw the attention of every nighttime predator in the area! You definitely should have gone with ovals! :ROFLMAO:

Seriously, for a night rig, I don’t think it matters what it looks like to a coyote as long as it isn’t glowing or shining. Whether you like it, (or don’t?) is completely up to you. I don’t think it looks bad.
 
Yeah them straight lines are gonna scare em all off! Haha! And it is matte paint so no shine to speak of when its cured out. It might appear to have a little but its pretty fresh at the moment.

I also think most camo is for the hunters taste and not the critter but ya don’t want to hunt with an ugly gun either!! :LOL:
 
If you look at my pics you can see that how my gun looks doesn't matter to me-just an ugly black plastic stock with red reflective tape on a few spots so I can see it and my tripod when walking back from the call or recovery with my caplight on. :giggle:
 
This was done up because there was a sale on Krylon Fusion spray paint! So with the vinyl for the stencils plus the paint I don’t think I have $20 into it! Sure beats what places want to Cerakote a stock…
 
Looks like you did a great job painting it. Lines look good and clean.

With that said, I do not like it for a hunting rig. It looks too toyish or like something that strictly belongs on a shooting bench.

Oh my, Mike; that reflective tape has got to go. Coyotes will see that a mile away and..........oh wait, ummm, on 2nd thought how many coyotes...........................never mind.

And I know how she shoots! Its been one of my main night rifles for the last two seasons. A 7mm-08 and I’m shooting 120 grain V-Max’s around 2940 fps. and the last time I tried it on targets I was able to hold 3” at 300 yards off my tripod. Love that rifle! It is not fur friendly in any way whatsoever though. I think it does more damage than any other caliber I use for coyotes…
