In my last post i said that i was going to put my new trail camera up near a dead cow but unfortunatly i was unable. So i just set it up on my moms 28 acres and put out some predator pile and this is all i got after 3 days as far as predators go but it is more than i expected.

how did you save them? if you save them to photo bucket that size i think you are screwed. i did the same thing so i make sure when i save anything to photo bucket i save it at the largest setting.

i downloaded the pics straight from the trail camera to my computer and the images will take my whole 17in screen clearly so i put it on photobucket and they end up small. if i try to make it bigger on photobucket itself the images are blurry. sorry to have wasted a post with crappy pics.

You have to delete them from photobucket and re download them to a bigger size useing the size choice in the little download box. I think it's like 620x 420 or somthing like that. Its that small cause thats the size you downloaded it at. You can only go smaller then what you have not larger. It won't let you. Thats why you have to redo it in a bigger size.

Thanks nocternal and rabidhunter66! I guess i overlooked that part. In the first pic do you all think that's a raccoon or a gray fox?

lol i swear i think its a gray fox but a couple people say its a coon. i look at the long black stripe down the back of the tail and tip, slender body, appears to be a short smooth coat unlike a coons long fluffy coat and i look at the back leg at it seems to be more of it to see then a coon short hairy leg. the people i know that think its a coon says that because of the ONE black stripe towards the tip of the tail but i found this pic on the internet of a fox with the same features.

At 11 degrees I would doubt it is a coon. Also the rear leg is way to long for a coon. I have been wrong in the past (really I have) but I think it is a grey fox.

As to predator pile, at 15 dollars a pound is a little steep for me. Better to buy 10 pounds of hamburger LOL.

make ur own predator pile, if legal. I pickup roadkills that aren't fit to eat. we butchered hogs today and I took all of the guts and other scraps.

my first thought was racoon, but after a more thorough look I am not 100% sure. The safe bet would be to inspect the tracks left onsite.
I was thinking of giving that predator pile a shot.

First glance looked like coon. After studying a bit, I think it's a grey. That rear leg just looks way too long for coon.

Typicaly a coon has 4 to 10 rings on the tail and from looking at alot of pics its not odd for a fox to have a ring around the tail towards the tip even though it rarely happens. From all the coons i've seen in person and looking at the pics on the computer i have never seen a coon with a solid black stripe down the back of the the tail with a black tip. And I cant ignore the length of the leg and apperance of a short smooth coat. I'm not convinced yet that it is a coon. Thanx to you guys that have commented. Would love to here some more.

looks like a greyfox has a long back leg and taller than a coon.and the body looks thin and long like a fox ,coons are short, think & fury during the winter.

A grey fox is no taller than a coon! Now a red is but not a gray...The angle of the picture has got alot of you fooled. If you set back from your computer screen about 3 feet you can see about 4 rings on that tail. That black stripe going down the back of its tail is the shadow of the tail on the snow, you can even see his mask he's got his nose in the snow. This is how Bigfoot got started...If someone would blow this picture up I think alot of you that think you know your animals would be wrong.
