Walker Is In Deep Trouble Now

What is really strange in all this, was the unions rallied at the Capitol early in the year pulling in all the unions to help the teachers union and the civil servants union the 2 largest unions in Wisconsin, yet when an issue came up in northern Wisconsin to bring in a mine employing 700+ union jobs the Democrates voted it down. That divided the unions right there.
When the two debates were held, Barrett (democrat) never once brought up the issue of taking away the collective bargining that sparked the recall process and was the heart of this recall effort. What Barrett (the democrats) argured against Walker was trying to find something, anything to drag Walker in the mud of social politics and couldn't get it done.
What a waist of our money and time when Walker could have been helping Wisconsin get industry into the state. I believe corportations will want to look at this progressive state with a governor like Walker, and this will backfire on all the liberals in the state, time will tell. Too bad Walker will have to face re-election in another 18 months. I believe the Democrates know they can't beat Walker so they will try to wear him down. Little do they know he is a man of faith.

The liberal mantra will be that Walker 'bought' the election with allll that out of state financial support. Good for Walker winning the recall. The challenge has been issued, BO ducks supporting Barrett, and, we are rolling toward a very successful fall election. The word is out.

What say you HB and Rimmy? Bad taste in the mouths of the liberals over this?

The pendulum has started to swing!

fixed that for ya HB

Ah, I see you called me in again as the "fixer."

The Dems were totally grasping to have tried this, in US history only two sitting govs have ever been recalled--Davis in CA in 2003 and a ND gov in the 1920s.

Voters tend to not like recalls, now the Dems have made themselves look even worse for November--and I mean worse to independent, swing voters, ie the ones who decide elections--not Conservative ideologues like me and most who post in here.

I agree and I believe that explains the reluctance of the Obama team to fully embrace Barrett.

I used to be an independent, and am still registered as one. I voted for the candidate, not the party. But I figured out awhile back that the Democrat Party is no longer controlled by the hardhat Democrats, but has been taken over by the far left fruitcake birkenstock wearing Berkley freaks. And any Democrat I vote for would owe a lot more to the far left who control the party than they'll owe to any moderate blue collar workers.

I voted for Ben Nelson, but when he decided his loyalty was with Harry Reid and not voters of this state, I was done with him. I wasn't alone. So many Nebraskans of a similar mindset were fed up with Nelson that he knew he couldn't win reelection and decided to retire. Don't forget, this is the only state in the entire country in which Bush won every single county in 2000, and all but one county in 2004, and he only lost that county by less than 150 votes. This is the most conservative state in the country, but we have elected CONSERVATIVE Democrats to the Senate for a long time. No more.

From now on I vote Republican. Now I just need to change my party affiliation on my voter registration.

Honestly HB, I believe you're giving too much credibility to zero as to his reason for not stumping for Barrett. After all, they sent slick willy to stump for him. I firmly believe zero understood the implications falling upon him should the probability of a loss occur. Although once again he is failing, he did everything in his power to distance himself from this matter, just in case. Now you can bet that if it had turned out differently he would have had no qualms of stepping to the mic and taking full credit for the win. Rightly so, he's getting credit for another liberal failure. The tide is turning, Thank God.

When I was a young man Dems. around here were a lot different than most are now. There used to be such a thing as conservative Democrats. My Grandpa was a strong Republican and loved to talk politics at the stockpen on Sat.I used to listen to the men talk and wonder how they could so strongly support one party or the other when they seemed to believe the same thing.

Reminds me of when I lived in Massachusetts and saw a truck with two bumper stickers. One said, "Split wood, not atoms", and the other said "Save a Tree".

Liberals are irrational

TN, the Dem party was hijacked by the Socialist Party when the USSR died especially. They were always here, but now the Socialists have a foothold on the political scene. Mostly it is because people are apathetic at best now that they(sp.) are giving up on politics (indicative of a Socialist takeover). It will probably get a LOT worse before it gets better, unfortunately.
