Voters tend to not like recalls, now the Dems have made themselves look even worse for November--and I mean worse to independent, swing voters, ie the ones who decide elections--not Conservative ideologues like me and most who post in here.
I used to be an independent, and am still registered as one. I voted for the candidate, not the party. But I figured out awhile back that the Democrat Party is no longer controlled by the hardhat Democrats, but has been taken over by the far left fruitcake birkenstock wearing Berkley freaks. And any Democrat I vote for would owe a lot more to the far left who control the party than they'll owe to any moderate blue collar workers.
I voted for Ben Nelson, but when he decided his loyalty was with Harry Reid and not voters of this state, I was done with him. I wasn't alone. So many Nebraskans of a similar mindset were fed up with Nelson that he knew he couldn't win reelection and decided to retire. Don't forget, this is the only state in the entire country in which Bush won every single county in 2000, and all but one county in 2004, and he only lost that county by less than 150 votes. This is the most conservative state in the country, but we have elected CONSERVATIVE Democrats to the Senate for a long time. No more.
From now on I vote Republican. Now I just need to change my party affiliation on my voter registration.
