Walmart Selling All AR's

Walmart is getting out of the AR business. They had some very good deals on the remaining stock yesterday. Most were marked down to half of dealer cost. I wanted a Sig 308, but couldn't find one in any of the stores I checked. However, I did give Walmart some money yesterday.

Me and a couple friends was able to visit 2 Wal Marts in south Georgia and purchased 10 ARs with an average price between 350-400. It was a good day and I am not normally that lucky!! Called around to other stores and they were sold out. Richard

My understanding is that they are selling all semi auto firearms, and will quit carrying them. That includes centerfire, rimfire, and shotguns.

The only reduction in price that we seen were on ARs. The Ruger Mini 14s etc... were not reduced nor any shotguns. My nephew made a dozen calls to other Wal Marts in region and they were sold out by 1800 hrs. A buddy just called and he bought a Diamondback AR in Columbus this morn. for $425 and that was the last AR in store. Richard

Not really, if they are actually no longer carrying semi autos nationwide that is very bad news!

Not much chance of that.
The Wally scalpers and price gougers buy them up in bulk and then re-sell them for a profit in the classified sections of the hunting/shooting websites.
Same folks that stand around the sporting goods counter at 6 AM and buy up all the bulk .22 ammo before it even gets on the shelf and then break it down into little Zip-lock bags and sell it on their tables at the flea market for a 500% mark up.

A while back Dick's Sporting goods ran a special on Remington 700's.
The gougers were buying all the store had in stock and then listing them for sale on websites.
This deal is no different.

???

ya, well i tried looking them up on their website to see where they may have some.. They need the PM staff working on their site.. It is terrible and their search is terrible.

Well I was there getting corn for the feeders and walked into a good deal. The only guy that I know of the group that sold a couple sold them at the price he paid to other guys at the PD where we work. I purchased one for me not for re- sell. I don't doubt that others may do what was described above. But not us. Richard

Holy moly!!

When I bought my DB in 2013, @ Wally World, it was like $1000 + tax.

I'll be stopping in our local store sometime soon to buy a few household items (still cheapest in town).
I'll have to try and remember to go ask some questions at the sporting goods counter....or ask the manager...about whether the local store is going to stop selling gun stuff.

The sporting goods manager in one Walmart told me that he was told that they were no longer going to be carrying any semi automatic firearms, while at another store, I was told different. So, go figure, this is Walmart we are talking about, and they play by their own rules. I saw a guy buy a pair of Ruger 10-22's for $125 each, stainless synthetic stock. A DPMS sportical was selling for $250. I went by another Walmart this morning, and they were sold out of AR's, but their 10-22's were not marked down. Maybe they're just getting rid of certain guns, but whatever the case, there were some heckuva deals to be had.

Yeah now all the good deals are gone.
Now we gotta wait for the scalpers and gougers to put them up for sale on their flea market tables or their favorite website.

Well, what's wrong with that?

Very true. Here is the real reason. LOUSY BLOOMBERG is behind this http://abcnews.go.com/Business/story?id=4652299

Ummm, I gotta disagree with this statement - this article is from back before Obammy was president and John McCain was still running too. Before the primaries even. Maybe 7-8 years ago? Those Ar's they're selling out now were purchased by them well after that for retail sales in their stores. Almost makes it sound like they did it to get Bloomberg to let em open up a Walmart in NYC.....funny that they have no Walmart's in NYC??????

Oh, I don't know. Maybe nothing.

But then again, maybe the ATF thinks that anybody buying a gun with the INTENT to re-sell needs a Federal Firearms License.
Finding a 4473 filled out and signed at Wally World on a specific gun, and then finding that gun for sale the same day unfired and new-in-the-box on an internet forum might give them a reason to suspect intent. And it would also give them all the evidence they needed to prosecute the case.

The ATF also has little tolerance for "straw purchases", even for people who are not prohibited from buying the firearm for themselves.
Look up Abramski v. United States.

And as far as the Predator Masters website is concerned:

It's pretty obvious that you don't know as much as you think you do. But, I'm not going to waste my time trying to explain it.
