WARNING!...to all call makers and other site advertisers

I am sorry but I have been away with a sick granddaughter and have not been able to post since this thread started.

I too, am one of the call makers who have sent calls to CritRDone (via Jay Travis’ address) and have not been paid. In fact, I think that I am probably owed more than the rest of the call makers put together. (You can read that as I didn’t just catch the hook in my lip, but I swallowed it.) Hindsight is always 20/20 for me, but I know that I will need to be more careful in the future. In the meantime, I am left with little else than to follow the guidelines that are set out by the offices of elected representatives that look into things like this.

I think I was politically correct in that paragraph. I stated a fact, admitted my own mistake in sending more calls, didn’t release the conversation that was part of the phone call from Jay Travis, and didn’t make any threats. I think it pretty well sums up my situation.

Im a little surprised by the (business) owners, Why would you sell a product to someone without Payment first??

I/we do not send any Product to any-one without first reciving funds by Paypal,check,Money order,e-pay (Phone credit-card orders) and sometimes cash.........Not reciving Funds is only asking for Problems and/or no Funds at all.......

Friends are Friends and Business is Business, Dont get the two confused........If you Barter between business on the PM site,theres a Mutual trust, I have a few times....

In God We Trust, All Others Pay First.......
 
I think the reason some call makers will send calls w/o payment first is the same reason I do some welding jobs w/o payment up front,.. trust in a man (or womans) word. It is sad that people will so easily break he bond which is their word these days. Times they are a changin folks, harder and harder to find honest people out there and even harder once you've been burned. I suggest welding a 3 ft. piece of 1" round stock to two of the perpetrators tire rims untill he/she pays up (worked for me!). Oh, OHIOBOB, gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today was Whimpy from Popeye fame.My $0.02 disregard if nessecary.

P.S. The worst thing about this whole thing is that this polecat is from Texas!(I like to think we should operate under a higher standard than the rest of the 50), embarassing to say the least.

As I said, it is my mistake, but I really don't consider call making my "business". At least it is not how I make my living. I don't make calls very fast and enjoy trying to get the best finish on my calls that I can. All of this takes enough time that if I needed to make a living from making calls, no one would be able to afford my calls. And if you couldn't afford any, I wouldn't sell any, and I would be out of business. I guess that is why I like it - at least for me, it is not a business.

I am one of the old guys that worked in a hardware store in a small town when I was in high school and giving credit was something that was common. Sure, the hardware got stuck on some sales and had to take a couple of people to court, but there was trust that people would pay. Maybe I just hate to give up that trust in people. Correct me if I am wrong, but if I pay you for a light, how will I know that you will send it? Is the only way to do business face to face? You put the light in my hand at the same time that I put the money in your hand? Wait, I trust you . . . . or at least that is the way I think it should be. With this one buyer I was taken advantage of. At the same time I have had people send me emails asking if I have received their check because I have not cashed it yet. So there are good people out there and that makes me feel good.

My wife and I both work a 40+ Hour week Regular jobs,4x10 Hour Days +.......This Business is something I wanted to do,not had to, I enjoy this,she not so inthused with it as I am, she does the paper work and books and I deal with everything else, its fun and Adgertating at the same time,I Know where your at, Ive already been BURNED before from Scam Coustomers,None from the PM site......and it Aint-Happening Again.......

Most of you know that I do not say much....I am a man of a very few words. But after reading this thread through and through, I decided I couldn't stay quiet anymore.


The folks that got burned by this guy, and I am one of them, should get together, contact a collection agency and go for a ding on his credit. Better yet, maybe the authorities in his local area should be contacted.

I am sure this guy has had ample opportunity through his friends who browse this board to see the many posts that pertain to his actions. Good. I hope he reads mine as well. Travis, or whatever your name is, pay people! Take care of your debts you owe these folks and do the right thing.

And the Reese lanyard that was donated to the "member of the month".....for PJ, you got me pal.......screw me once, shame on you, do it twice, shame on me!

I sent him (jay) an email Sat night askin/tellin him to pull my account from his site. I was one of those nice email full of "you @#@*&#@!" "F*&% &%*" and he still hasnt pulled it or emailed me back. Now I'll just head over to his site and see how long it take someone to get kicked off.

Hawk, Jay told me last night on the phone that he needed to send you some money. TimberToes, If I see that call I will see what I can do.

And another thing FOstology, I posted what I did because I will not tolerate this type of BS on my board.AND IF YOUR SO UPSET WITH PJ STAY THE HELL AWAY And if the admins and mods on here didn't get off on this kind of crap it would not be posted here either. KeeKee is the only one who tried to keep this an informative thread. I personaly do not owe any call makers money, and if any of you say I did not pay you you are a F^%$(*& liar.
As for the rest of you that jumped on the band wagon like a bunch of sheep you can kiss my a$$.

smoker13 I don't think anyone on here was talking about sueing for defamation of character over this guy scamming them. That talk came from Jay's sources that we were guilty of defamation of character for having this thread up.

You know hogtrapper I have no problem with you at all. I feel I have all the right in the world to voice my feelins for Jay....Here or there... or anywhere I please. I post that profanity over there at PJ for one reason.... and it worked in 9 minutes. Am I being childish by my actions....Yep....I am....Did I enjoy doing it....Heck yeah.

Hogtrapper I'm also a member at 4 other hunting fourms would you like them so you can run and tell over there too.

BTW I would never post anything like I did over there (PJ) here at PM, due to the fact that I have respect for the men at the top. Cant say that about PJ. I would bet the PJ site will be up for sale in less than a year, or just shut down. Remember Hogtrapper " dont crap where you sleep"...

Huntmedic, Have I done something to you personaly? Do I owe you money? No I don't!!!! I am taking care of a board that I am responsible for. I have solicitaded no calls or money from anyone. Your beef is with Jay over an Ebay transaction. You are no better than he after posting profanity on a family web site. We do have young members over there. How would you feel if your child found and read that. You are just showing your true colors. Yellow.
You say you have respect for the men at the top. How do you think they feel about you know.

Huntmedic, I have been made aware of what just took place, while I do not condone it in any way shape or form, I cannot be responsible for what happens on other boards.

Please stop the arguing immediately, or take it private.
 
To start with, I am not trying to defend anyone or make anyone mad. I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion but how you show it is where it might come off wrong. If you have a problem with someone find them, don't write your problems on a board for everyone to see, especially if you have no idea what is really going on.
I am a member at PJ and really enjoy it. It is a great board with many good members and lots of great forums. I have hunted with Lince, and I am not taking his side because I don't know him that well but he seems like a great guy. Anyway, if you have problems with him don't trash another board where hunters just like yourselves go to talk about what they enjoy the most, hunting. It is a good board and I don't want others thinking otherwise. There are calls and lanyards givin away everymonth in a drawing and I assume those are the donated ones in exchange for the advertisements. It is a great way to get other hunters admiring your calls and I think it is a good idea.
Also, HoggTrapper is a good guy that is just trying to keep PJ a good sight that hunters can all enjoy using. I am not agreeing with everything he says because I do not know all he said but I am good buddies with him and I think he has made some good points.
Anyway, just had to put my thoughts in on it and I didn't mean to affend anyone or take sides but just wanted to say don't hurt other hunters on other forums just because you have a problem with one small group. I really enjoy both boards and most the people on them and I don't want that to change. Thanks.
