What did you do today in the world of reloading?

Wet tumbling has significant advantages for filthy range pickup brass, especially bulk pistol/556 brass thas been rolling around in dirt and mud etc. During covid I sold several 10k pistol brass I had been saving up, but first I had to clean it. My RCBS vibratory wasn't cutting it and literally burnt out. I bought the big 5L Frankford wet tumbler and breezed thru all the brass making it brighter than new, and easily paid myself back with the profits. I go through a lot of 9mm and 556, now that I have the wet tumbler, I prefer to use it!

HM1996,

I have not found any trace of MS anywhere.

In the past i have had no interest at all in wet tumbling. I think after reading Dirty Dogs above post i may have a change of heart. For range pick up only. And in the summer time when the brass can sit out in the sun and dry out.

I worked up a load for 9mm Lehigh 90gr Extreme Defense solid copper bullets.

My 9mm Glock Gen 5's can shoot! I'd like to put them on a Ransom Rest some time to see what they can really do.

Those Lehigh copper bullets are just for manditory lead free hunting (yes I've killed predators with pistols, I have a pistol on my lap every stand). Recoil is light and they feed perfect.

I just finished sizing and trimming a batch of Norma 5.56 to 222 Rem. The shoulder section of the Norma cases that moved up into the 222 neck is unusually thick so need to wait for a neck reamer to get here to finish them. They should make a great case for some light loaded small game loads.

Cleaned/prepped, once fired LC brass and loaded up various loads with the 53 gr V-Max using H332 and WSR primers for my Savage Model 12 in .223.

Built a new 6x47 Lapua a while back, & have been doing load work.

Loaded up a bunch of the most promising loads yesterday to test at distance.

30 MPH winds are keeping a damper on things.....

What are the real-world advantages over a 25/06 or even a 308?

Not trying to be a smart-azz ..... just never heard of that cartridge before.

25/08, 25 Souper, is a cartridge that had always vaccinated me for some reason. So 15-20 year ago I had one built on a Remington 722 action.
Real world advantage over the 25/06 less powder to achieve similar velocity. Just from my bad memory, it takes 3.5 grns less varget to achieve 3100fps pusing a 87gr bullet in the 25/08 than in the 25/06.

Loading for it is not a big deal, I use a.260 rem bump die and .260 rem. Redding bushing die with the appropriate bushing. Trim to length with .308 win "World's Finest Trimmer".

9mm Lehigh 90gr Extreme Defense for lead free predators. The first fox I ever took was with a pistol at 40 yards laser verified, the pelt still hangs in my garage.

Groups generally like this. A better scope would help, been using an old Nikon Buckmaster 4-16x40, meh.
