What sounds do you want?

Here is what i would like.

Rabbit card: Two cottontail/two jackrabbit distress sounds.

Bird card: Yellow hammer-Squealing bird-and two other "good" bird distress sounds.

Rabbit/bird card: Yellow hammer/Squealing bird-Cotton tail/jack rabbit.

Rabbit/kitten/chicken and piglet would be nice.

Grey fox: Good as is.

Raccoon: Good as is.

Red fox: Don't have this one-would have to review sounds/selections on card and try in the field.

Coyote Howels: "Come here howl" This howel has been called the muster howl and other names by some. What i call the "come here howl" has produced more coyotes than any other howel, excepting and possibly the interrogation and lonesome howel, which would run a close second.Sooo my preference would be like this: Come here howel/Lonesome howel/Interrogation howel/Female mating howel...If there was enough room on the card, then i would have to add the challenge howel, which is my last choice.

I threw the custom card out to them some time back and it has never been acted upon. They could have a part time employee loading custom cards and charge an appropriate price to cover the extra overhead and give the customers what they want. It is a very desirable option.

They will get to see your input and maybe that will help push them off center. Thanks for the input.

Being able to do your own custom card over the internet would be awesome! if not now then maybe when the PM-5 comes out include a hard drive or flash drive with it to download the sounds direct from HS website. Either way customizing and arranging sounds how you want them would be great. Another vote for more coyote vocals. Thanks.

Snowcamoman said it: MP3 downloads available for fee on a web site.

A no-brainer HS....hint hint . Don't make this too difficult. Look at where the market is NOW.(not where it was).

Someone else in the NE could sell a lot of sounds too, but that's a different ball of wax!!

If I could buy Johnny Stewart sounds and put them on my Foxpro there are about 10 sounds I would buy for sure.

Downloadable mp3 format from a website is a fair request.

Making the whole library available would be the cherry on top of the ice cream to to speak.

I know of at least ten that I would purchase to go on my homemade caller....James L.

my two cent's would be able to download them from a website.
There are allot of johnnys sounds I would like to put on my FX3 with out dubbing them my self from all of my old tapes.

I agree.

Would also like to have a barking lap dog sound. I hunted with a guy in AZ that had this sound. His name was Gerald something or other. That sound was awesome for calling in other predatior hunters. Then you could siton the other side of the wash and have all kinds of fun with them. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

MP3 downloads would be awesome. I've got one of the Cat CD's that I have put on my FX5. If I could pay to download the whole library online, I would.

If JS sounds are formatted & released for free download, then won't HS brand caller sales take a major hit? Lets face it, JS sounds are what sell their callers. I'm just looking at it from a business's point of view. I would not blame them if they decided to keep the JS trademark sounds all to themselves. Maybe that is not a concern to them, don't know.

I do like the idea of grouping specific sounds on the cards. You could maybe even have an eastern/western type division in sounds to some degree.

It would be completely unreasonable to expect the sounds to be available for free download. Available for purchase, yes. Free, no.

If I were at HS, I could come up with several ways to skin this cat. On-line programmable (for a fee). Sell hardware to connect to a PC to allow custom card configuration using purchased sounds, or sounds from other sources.

All technically possible, what I don't know is how big the market really is to allow the investment required to develop the above. If the rate that the PM4's disappeared off the local sporting goods store shelf is any indication there might be a little wiggle room.

Might just be better off letting sleeping dogs lie, too. Right after they package my dream card that I described earlier.

Gerald, I had several folks down at Lubbock ask for a feeding pig sound. Is it on the cards yet...Alot of folks intrested in this one.

They had the MC-FH1 Feral Hog cartridge for the PM-1 in the 2006 catalog. They may still have some of those in stock.

I like this possibility..

these 2 or 3 cards would be all I really needed..
