What sounds do you want?

I have a homemade ecaller so I would love to be able to download, for a small fee of coarse, some sounds.
I do like the PM4 and might buy one to hide from the wife if I could get sound cards made to order.
As for sounds I like the idea of the farm sounds, pheasant, and fawn distress/deer cards. As for the different lip squeaks I would have to hear the difference first, except maybe the Sweet Thang Lips. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Thanks for listening,

Thanks for all of the input guys. HS has been reading this thread and I will be making some recommendations to them for new pairings on the cards.

Since there is a HS rep on the forum here, I would like to take this opportunity to ask a question about the PM4. I am going to purchase an electronic caller soon. When you read the reviews of the PM-3 from online distributers, it is rated very high. I don't want a cable, so I'm really interested in the remote PM-4. But the reviews on the PM-4 have been rather hit or miss, unlike the PM-3.

Was there some type of problem when the PM-4 first came out that prompted the negative reviews? And more importantly, have the early bugs been worked out now? I am very interested in the PM-4. I know sometimes the first batch of anything can be buggy. But I am afraid to purchase the PM-4 unless I know it is safe now to do so. I am very interested in the PM-4, and I am sure others are too. But I have read too many reviews about reliability issues with it and I am a little afraid to make the purchase.

Believe me, I want HS to tell me its okay now! I'm not trying to cause trouble here by bringing this up. I just want reassurance that the PM-4 will be as durable as the PM-3! So far, it doesn't seem to be based on user reviews.

thanks,

The way I see it, the JS callers have been marketed to sell the caller itself cheaper than the competition, but then make up some of the revenue through sales of the call cards. Not a bad plan since not everyone will spend $500 on the new wiz bang caller and really doesn't need 200 sounds with them anyway.

The problem with MP3 downloads has been seen for years with people just swapping them around. I personally would rather pay the money and get the first rate files from the company than screw around with stuff like that. Companies like Minaska give all sounds for free, but got a premium price for the "package" anyway so it's ok. Foxpro gets the premium price and still wants to charge for additional sounds.

I guess the problem that will have to be addressed is can they sell them as MP3's and protect their investment/value of the library of sounds. Right now they can definitely get a good number of honest people to pay up for the sounds. They could also release a flash memory based caller that has all the sounds similar to the competition.

The idea of the writer for the cards that could be sold maybe in a usb format so people could rewrite their cards to have the particular sounds on a card sounds like a good one. That way if a guy has 6 cards for example, he could backup all of his sounds on the PC and then erase one card and rewrite it with the sounds he wanted on the card. That'd be neat and people would probably pay good money for the reader/writer.

Just my .02 from the perspective of what would be good for the company and still give the hunter what he needs.

I would wait on the PM-4 until we can give you the green light. There are some improvments being made as well as some problems fixed. I have been told that there are two units on the way for my evaluation. When the factory gets the green light, a new shipment will be available in several weeks at the dealer level.

Thanks for your patience, it will be worth the wait.

I'd like to hear some pig distress sounds, my uncle has 5 seperate hog farms on his land with a good yote population, I'm sure some pig distress sounds would work great...

GS-I CANT BEGIN TO TELL YOU HOW MUCH I LOVE MY PM-4! I WOULD LIKE MORE COYOTE VOCALS AND LIKE JOEF SAID BEING ABLE TO ORDER CUSTOM CARDS DOWNLOADED WITH THE SOUNDS YOU WANT WOULD BE AWESOME UNTIL HS DECIDES TO SELL A CARD WRITER JUST MY TWO CENTS...CHRIS

I would like to see the cottontail duet like the one you could get on the casset. I was told that they dont produce the tapes any longer. I cant find another casset, so why not put it on a card? JMO
