just curious as to what ppl sit on those days that are too warm for coveralls, but there is snow on the ground. i usually look for a rock to sit on, but usually cant find a good spot. does anyone use some sort of no legged seat to sit right on the ground?

I have seen that Mills fleet farm carries these. Redhead/bass pro used to carry them.

I have used everything from a $10 or $15 cushion from cal ranch to $50 seats from primos and they all work just the ones with a back rest are a little more comfortable. The one I am currently using when I don't pack the gobbler lounger is from hunters specialties I think.

I would say you should highly consider the cabelas gobbler lounger though. Little heavy, but you wont find a better more comfortable way to call coyotes.

This is what I use. I bought it off the Predator Quest site. I really like the back support and it keeps my back side from getting cold or wet.

Burlap Sack. I used to just brave the snow but I took a new to coyotes guy out and he brought along a couple and it was so much better then sitting in the snow. It does however make for a lot of brown showing so that's something to keep in mind.

+1 on that. The person that invented the gobbler lounger MUST HAVE enjoyed sleeping while hunting!!! It is by far the most comfortable ground level sitting device I have ever used. I dont coyote hunt out of mine, but I do hunt G-Hogs and deer out of it.

Yes I agree with this!! But as I get older the harder it is to get up out of the Lounger,I kind have to roll out of it!! LOL

It's a little bulky, but I started carrying an old plastic boat seat with a bark-o-lounger look alike that I got at Gander Mountain inside of it.

With a strap around both, and it around my neck, it doesn't carry to bad either.

With a bad back, (broke in 2 places) it does give great back support. I have tried multiple seats and this is by far the best I have ever used.

But as Wallbass stated, I do have trouble getting up, but that if because of bad knees, not the seat itself.

This is the H.S. Strut turkey stool. I love it and won't go hunting without it. Weighs about 3 lbs. I do have to find something to lean against every time but thats not hard. Tree, fence post, farm impliment, big rock.

The Avery power seat for $27 is hard to beat since the feet go fron to back instead of side to side (helps on hills and things) gets you up just a little bit and that 6" higher makes a difference, and most importantly it has a back support to make sitting a lot more comfortable.. I have 2, because anyone that has hunted with me keeps taking them after using them.
I have one that is almost 3 years old and going strong.
