It's a little bulky, but I started carrying an old plastic boat seat with a bark-o-lounger look alike that I got at Gander Mountain inside of it.
With a strap around both, and it around my neck, it doesn't carry to bad either.
With a bad back, (broke in 2 places) it does give great back support. I have tried multiple seats and this is by far the best I have ever used.
But as Wallbass stated, I do have trouble getting up, but that if because of bad knees, not the seat itself.
