What's up with the Burris scope sale?

Burris was bought out by Beretta Holding Company over a year ago...

Like most corporate takeovers there is a lot of secrecy involved in the changes made but anyone that thinks that nothing has changed at Burris is probably got their heads in the sand. They sure made some huge changes in their product lines right after the takeover.

Leupold is the last of the "American scope companies" but there are a lot of rumors flying around that they've been sold recently too.

Nobody seems to know for sure where the VX series scopes are really made. I imagine that there are a lot of quiet changes going on at Leupold too.

Totally agree from what I am seeing........Nikon,Bushnell "E's" & Sightron. For that price range scopes. Ooops and Burris..

Bargin scopes - Bushnell Bannor dusk to dawn (decent glass and holds zero great) and I would like to get my hands on a Mueller to check it out.

I have heard from a number of sources that the Fullfield II's that came with the free spotters were made over seas, as were the spotters.

My wife bought me a Fullfield II about the same time I was hearing that and I have looked high and low....can't find "Made In America" anywhere on that scope. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif



You're right...I can't find anywhere on the scape where it says it's made. My Burris Compact 3-9x32AO OTOH says "Made in U.S.A.".
 
Just looked at a Burris riflescope in the store. Box had the USA address and the scope had a tiny Made In Phillipines sticker on it.
