How is it going elks? did you have to relocate for your new job?
Life has been crazy. It is starting to slow a bit. We have most of our stuff moved, but we lost my grandmother last week. So things have been really out of whack. In a month I put over 7,000 miles on my truck between moving, going to the furneral etc. I am excited about my job, I am teaching Industrial Tech. I have beginning Woods, Drafting, and automotive classes. It will be good, but starting the first week being gone from school is hard. Also they loaded up my classes. My one CAD class has 32 students, but only 10 computers for CAD, so they are all learning to hand draft first, then next semester they will begin CAD. My automototive shop is not much bigger than a 2 car garage and most of my auto classes have 20 students. Luckily they are all auto 1 classes so we are spending the majority of the year in the book. The principal and I are working hard to get a new auto shop build that can house more than 1 vehicle and 5 students... Ok all ranting aside, life is good, we are healthy, have food and a place to live. I still can hunt, and my wife still likes to go with me.
As far as Diaphram calls, I do not like them at all. I have taught myself to whistle like an elk, both bugle and cow call, this I use when needed. I have actually called in several elk using no call at all. I also hate the way they feel in my mouth, trimmed or not.
