i like my tally hoe but will soon be getting some of arky's and trashcans custom calls they will be my first custom calls so I'm really looking forward to trying them

Dan is definately a throwback to an earlier day. It's fun to talk business with him because I have a production degree from Cal State Chico and it's interesting to see his production line. The frustrating thing is that Dan has a design patent, but the Feds don't think he has a case. Something seems fishy because so many of the parts are identical. I suggested he offer to sell replacement barrels for the Hot Dog so callers could at least have a custom barrel.
The funny thing is that Randy mentioned in an article I read about a year ago that Dan's calls inspired his. The only thing I can see on his that is any kind of an innovation is putting the letters on the mouthpiece. Not exactly a different lure.
