Who hunts solo

My predator buddy just got restationed so I'll be solo 80% of the time. The other 20% is when I take my kids. Watching only for them, they aren't old enough to hunt here

Always well 97% except when BangPop and I got out west but he thinks like me so it's the same as one. No wait he's older than me so I think like him (hurts to say that)

I must be an outlier. I like to hunt alone, but I have a couple good calling buddies who I call with pretty regularly. We've hunted enough together to know how we each set up, work the calls, and shoot. We're a good team. I'd say I hunt with one of them about half the time, one of my kids 10% of the time, and the rest alone.

I did not know we had the option to predator hunt with other people. Honestly I hunt to unwind my mind, I think another person would hinder me in that aspect. I'm just not as social as I was when I was younger...

Probably like most dads, when my boys were younger they went with me all the time. That's how I got out of the house.

Then when my kids were getting older, I was going solo more and more. Now, it's almost always solitary as the thing the boys are chasing now aint in the woods.

Now I prefer to be alone, especially when night hunting as I don't have to keep up with where anyone else is.

Usually solo. I think calling lions, having a 2 man team greatly increases odds, but i can never get anybody to hit the winter woods with me. Buncha sissies. Took somebody out just 1 time last year and called a lion in for him in 30 minutes first try. Thought that would get more people willing to hit the winter mtns with me, but no. Most guys are all talk i guess. Ill be heading out into. The selkirks when i get up, to spend a few days calling cats by myself.

For the last 10-15 years, solo 100% of the time. This year, a young man I barely knew from church, asked me if I could take him calling. Night trip worked for us both and only got a fox and a coon but he was higher than a kite. Been out several times since. He is tough as boot leather, knows how to be still and is a helluva' shot. He is always ready for another stand and enjoys hunting even when the game doesn't cooperate. Plus,he is a research scientist so he is fun to talk with. Pards like him are rare.
