I'm single, 29, and quite happy with it. I went to the bank today for a loan. The loan officer was impressed with my financial situation. I have no debt and money in the bank. Her suggestion was that I needed a woman to help me spend it. (why does she think I have money?) So she has taken it upon herself to try to find me someone, even though I told her how happy I was the way things were. Apparently women have this idea that there is nothing better than being married, but I'm not so sure. Geez, I know she means well but dang it man, I like my toys. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

SRS1, watch it, I didn't marry until I was 30.
Just me thinking out loud, I'ld go with the flow. See if there realy is a woman out there interested in the same things as I am.
BUT, my Dad said "..don't buy the cow if the ..... is free" He was right, took me three times to find the right one.

I got married when I was 18. It has been a trial at time but I am glad I did it. (No she isn't looking over my shoulder) I am now 33 and our forth child is due in May. I have foregon buying toys and stuff but I paid off my house a few months ago. There are advantages to marrying and having kids young. But hey, do what you feel is right for you, I did and everything is working out alright. AW

The woman at the bank is married so I know she's not interested, I just found it amazing that no matter where I go, someone wants to fix me up with a women I would be PERFECT for.
One other time I was signing up for unemployment over the phone. After the lady heard how much I made that week and that I was single she asked how close I was to dayton Ohio. Luckily not nearby cause she was wanting to fix me up with her daughter.

I'm in the same boat as you,only i got you by 15yrs.seniority.I never been married or engaged and at this point don't plan on it.I've dated many-many women and talked about marrying 2 or 3,but they just got worse as time went by.I would ask myself did i think things were somehow >magically going to get better>>answer>>nope.Had one try to make me marry her,she would get up in my face and point her finger with fury,and insist i ask her to marry.I'd put her on probation for a few months,that if she didn't bring it up i'd start thinking about it.She'd make it about 3 weeks then start in on me again.Well that went on for a year,til i couldn't take no more.
In my opinion 8 out of 10 times girls that need fixed up

I doesn't hurt to look over what is out there when you are young. The good ones are taken off the market quickly. Who knows there may be a gal out there that will enjoy getting out in the woods with you. You will find out more by dating a lot of different ladies on which one matches your goals and values. Hopefully that will reduce the risk of divorce. If she won't let you go hunting or fishing it is better to know sooner than later.

It doesn’t seem to matter when I answer the question “Are you married?” with my standard response, I can see the wheels turning behind those eyes thinking of someone to hook me up with. The problem lies in the fact that I would rather get to bed fairly early, and get up the next day and try to call a coyote or two. In the spring, summer and early fall I work on the family farm in addition to my regular 8-6. So needless to say I don’t make much time for courtship. I rarely if ever get set up during my slow time of the year and if I do, I have yet to have the courtship last through the summer. It has worked out for the best so far.

Pomoxis ; I found one not only crazy enough to deal with me, but CRAZY ENOUGH to stay with me for durn near 30 years,(actually was 1/5), if you count datin' time. Don't think the Good Lord made TOO many mental defective's though! Lord am I thankful for her and all her small problems (like taking in large orphans & crybabies).

here's a funny one for ya, a married gal at church started being friendly to me, then the following week I noticed her wedding band was missing. Then she started cornering me before I could get out after service. Talk about fear, I had to leave town for a while till she cooled down. By the way, she had five little boys frome the age of 2 and 12. Seems as though I can only get the ones I don't want. HaHa
