WW-VI is happening!

pd buster: That will be fine with me. The ranch owner may want all of us camping in the same area. So we will have to see.

We all may have to circle the wagons at night to keep the prairie devils from coming in to camp and scalping us after Saturdays massacre. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-006.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-006.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-006.gif

Now all we have to do is pray for a calm weekend. Calm is not something that happens very often in this part of the country. If I was a betting man, I would say wind will be in the forecast. Anything under 20 mph is a calm day.

I will go out and meet with the rancher between now and then and will find out where he wants people to camp. Access should be very easy. Paved road all the way to the entrance. Ranch house is right next to the highway.

Forgot to mention. I have a friend who films prairie dog shoots. I mentioned this get together to him and he was very interested in getting some footage. He should be able to put together a DVD if he gets out there to film for future viewing pleasure. No promises, but its in the works.

That's fine, as long as no video clips make it to YouTube!

I'll be the one with the pillow case over his head! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I think we've got our quota of actors for this trip. We should close the registration and call it a "group".

I agree. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

We have learned the hard way what videos can do to us.

As many of you know, it was "PD blasting videos", made available for public distribution, that almost "scuttled" our boat in Grand Junction a couple of months ago.

As a point of clarification, I sure would not want any videos prepared of this event made available for public distribution.

Sorry guys, but I'm a whole lot gun-shy here and I would hope you are too.

Agreed on calling it "closed".

All it takes is someone to upload it on to u-tube to show his friends and its all over the net. It could mean that WW-VI could be the last WW to happen.

Yeah, but then they'd be missing the camaraderie, the braggadocio, the flame roasted beans and franks, the late nite BSing around the campfire, the Presidente 'Ritas.

I'll be reloaded with fresh supplys in the Rita dept. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've got a spare jug of Pres I'll toss in the box. Just in case we aren't the only fans of the Chili's concoction.

Chili's Presidente Margarita Recipe

1.5 oz Sauza Comemoritivo Tequila (Patron is better)
.5 oz Cointreau
.5 oz Presidente Brandy
Fill with liquid Sweet and Sour mix (4oz) **
Squeeze wedge of lime
Rub lime wedge on rim of margarita glass and coat with coarse salt (optional)

Shake well and serve over crushed ice

**Sweet and sour mix NOT margarita mix

I dont think you need to worry about anything making it to you tube. As far as Prairie Dog shoot DVD's being available to the public? Walk into any Sportsmans Warehouse, Cabelas, Bass Pro Shop and so on and there are rows of DVD's with hunters killing Prairie dogs, geese, ducks, coyotes, elk, deer and anything else you can think of. If that alone was going to be the end of your priviledges, you would have lost them a decade or more ago. On any given day, we play a Prairie dog video on one of the TV's inside of Sportsmans Warehouse for the world to see. You think Primos or Hunters Specialty, or Byron South for that matter is going to quit producing videos because a group of idiots tried to use them against us? Unsuccessfully I might add. Well hang the [beeep] on because you got some more storms to weather.

I will tell my friend the consensus is thanks but no thanks. Sorry, I was just trying to do something extra that I thought everyone might find cool.

Guess I will stick to the necessary logistics.

LOL Randy! Too bad you don't live closer to WY. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-006.gif

We need to organize our group. For "safety" some details, like meeting places, hunt locations, directions, cell nos, etc., will need to be handled by email and/or PM's. Can't let that stuff get into the wrong hands, or we could have a mob of huggers waiting for us.

I'll send out some PM's tomorrow.

Tom,
People have been sending me their info and I have already spoke to a few. I have called and spoken to Jim, Brandon and Darby thus far. Been telling the guys to call me when they get into town. I should have everything set up as far as where they will be camping, etc. etc.. hopefully this will help everyone get to where they need to go and get settled in. If you get here early like you anticipate, I will set it up so you can help me with getting people where they need to be. Should be a piece of cake. I dont think you need to worry about any local huggers. Not to many of them in these parts. Now the ones willing to travel could make things interesting although they would not be warmly welcomed around here.

Wyosongdog, i can definitely come up sometime on friday and give you a hand with anything you might need.

I'll bring up a couple of FRS radio's with me. Might be handy to coordinate. Also, anyone coming to the event a ham operator besides me ? If so, maybe we want to get a simplex freq going as well.

I should be getting there early on Fri also, and could help get everyone together... I know WyoSongDog is busy so I'll help where I can...

Sounds like we'll have a little convoy heading up on Friday. Might as well cordinate and run together, if we can. I think huntsman and I can head up about any time on Friday.

Sounds good fly. I got you down for staying at my place. Once I get you or Tom lined out on where everyone should go to camp, shoot, etc., etc. we should be cooking with a blue flame and everything should go smooth.

Also a great idea songdog. Always good to travel in a pack.

Same here Songdog, I can head up about anytime... I'm in Ft Lupton so I can meet you and Huntsman at the Hwy 52 exit (exit 235?, at Dacono) on I-25 sometime... I'll PM my info...
