Meet George. Wife came in wide eyed and said, "There's a Texas Spiney Swift in the back yard
this long, indicating 3' long. (Longest Spiney Swift I've ever seen lacked a couple of inches being a foot long.) I was surprised to find George. I'm sure he was a pet that escaped, sure not native down here.
He lived in an ash tree above the BBQ pit for a few weeks and would come down to eat scraps of veggies...almost out of our hand, but not quite. Hung around until the grandkids visited and got a little too pushy trying to force feed him so he moved on.
