Iranian Uprising

I think the whole death to america thing is more and more something promoted by the neocons and foxnews types. My views on Iran have changed dramatically over the last several years. 10 years ago it would be bomb the mullahs!!! Now days I think about everything we have tried to do in the middle east has just made it worse. Iraq no WMD's toppeling saddam has represented no improvement in our nations circumstances. instead it cost trillions and dead soldiers. Afghanistan? The taliban runs it along with $40 billion in our military supplies. The muslim brotherhood runs egypt, Libya is in worse shape after we abandoned Gadaffi and let him get butt skewered in the streets after agreeing to meet all our demands to him. Alqeda runs syria now after we insisted assad go. Go down the list we have failed in everything we have done over there.

beyond all that start to think about the threat against the culture of Iran we are trying to impose. If we had our way. Gender study clinics would be set up over there. We would try to tell them the roles of women need to be changed. Abortions need to be allowed. They need to Transistion their kids without parents knowing. sick men need to be able to use the same bathrooms as their little girls. Dudes need to be in womens sports. This is what our nation would be telling them. Maybe not now but in 3 years when the next democrat is running our country. If you're Iran wouldn't you think I don't want anything to do with western culture in our country? It will destroy us. Our influence there isn't a good thing for them. Its not 1950 and eisenhower is president. We are not a benevolent force for them anymore.

As a country we will continue to lose our sovereignty, our freedoms, our money and our health as long as our country is at the behest and whims of leftists and neocons AKA trotskyites.

Our country has been and continues to be hollowed out by these people.

You’ve got to separate the slogan from reality. When they chant “death to America,” their own leadership has said they’re talking about the U.S. government and its policies—not everyday Americans. That doesn’t mean it’s harmless, but it’s also not the same as a blanket call to attack random people here at home. When there have been threats or plots within CONUS, they’ve been aimed at specific individuals—Iranian dissidents, officials, or political targets—not the general public. So acting like they’re coming for everyone’s daily freedom is oversimplifying a much more targeted and complicated situation.

This is also the same leadership that has no issue killing their own citizens if they disagree with them. Not quite sure I believe if they were to invade that they’re just going to head to Washington to deal with the administration. They’ve been saying it for decades which includes both parties. Pretty sure they just hate our way of life in general and it’s not just our leadership.

This theocracy is a govt that has beaten women to death in the street for the crime of having some of their hair visible outside their burka

I think you’re missing my point here.

My comment wasn’t defending Iran or saying they’re harmless. I was responding to the idea that the “death to America” slogan is something exaggerated or pushed mainly by neocons and media framing.

I’m not saying Iran is good or misunderstood—I’m saying the interpretation of that slogan gets stretched into “they are actively trying to wipe America off the map,” when in practice it’s been publicly framed by their leadership as opposition to U.S. policy and influence, not random Americans. Most U.S. casualties since have been in Middle Eastern conflict zones through proxies, not random civilians at home.

Those are two very different things.

You can recognize they’re a hardline, hostile regime with a long record of proxy conflict and repression, without turning every slogan into a literal, immediate plan against everyday people here.

That’s the distinction I was making—not excusing them, just keeping it accurate.

Think of how many Americans were killed by the federal governments coerced and in some cases forced covid shots during the plan-demic...it is estimated 800,000 Americans and 20,000,000 worldwide were killed as a result.

It has been proven there is no way our federal government could have rolled out safe and effective vaccines in such a short timeframe. (Operation WARP Speed.) It take years to develop "safe" vaccines.

This was/is also in violation of the Nuremberg Code.

Those same people are telling us the biggest threats to America are 6000 miles away.

Sura 2:191: "kill the disbelievers wherever we find them"

Sura 3:157 "And if you are killed or die in the Way of Allah, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far better than all that others may amass [of worldly wealth]".

Sura 4:74 Paradise to those who fight for Allah.

Sura 5:51 commands Muslims not to take Jews and Christians as friends.

Sura 8:7: "Allah wished to confirm the truth by His words: 'Wipe the infidels (all non Muslims) out to the last.'"

Sura 8:12, 17 "I will instill terror into the hearts of unbelievers. Smite them above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them. It is not you who slay them, it is Allah".

Sura 8:59: "The infidels (all non Muslims) should not think that they can get away from us. Prepare against them whatever arms and weaponry you can muster so that you may terrorize them. They are your enemy and Allah's enemy."

Sura 8:60 "Strike terror (into the hearts of ) the enemies of Allah and your enemies".

You can pull lines out of any religious text and make them sound extreme if you strip the context. The same thing can be done with the Bible too. These verses are tied to specific times, conflicts, and interpretations—not a blanket command for all people everywhere.
 
I’ll be honest, I’m starting to put more weight on what Iranian officials are saying than the constant bullshit coming from Trump. At this point, we might as well just call Fridays “market manipulation day.”
 
Isn't it amazing what Ishmael's descendant wrote for scripture. That latter became the Quran.
"And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren" -Genesis 16:12
Yet goes even further on to relate Ishmael as loyal son to Abraham, even helping his brother Isaac bury their father.

Just to illustrate your point. If one just reads the one passage, it draws a differing picture from just the single line quote.

From my own reading and studies, few verses of the Quran can be said to fit virtues of tolerance or universal brotherhood. Violence is so evident and the “religion of peace” has never stopped being at war. Coexistence was something Muhammad only sought when he did not have the means, or power, to conquer.

The problem with your idea of pulling lines out is that islam teaches that all of the quarn is stand alone meaning each verse has it's own context. It means what it says. Islam is an ideology of submission or death.

The fingerprints of the Russians are all over the Muslim Brotherhood and its spin offs , ie Al-Qaeda, ISIS. The Russians are experts at all acts of terrorism and are the originators and “teachers” to these Muslim fundamentalists of terrorism for the past 75+ years.
Our so called “leaders” ie our Presidents for decades have no knowledge of who the enemy truly is. Reagan gets the credit for ending communism in Russia but that was a ruse. The Cold War never ended. Treaty after treaty with Russia to decrease stockpiles of nuclear weapons and military capabilities. We have slowly decreased our military and our own nuclear arsenal as a result of a foolish notion we can now “trust” the Russian Communists.
The U.S. plays the role of moral, righteous authority and holds to these ridiculous “agreements” while our enemy (Russia) uses these worthless pieces of paper to continue to build up their own arsenals to destroy us, the American people. Campaign promise was a peace deal in a matter of days???? Mmmm, 2 years now into his current Presidency and it’s obvious that Putin doesn’t give a damn what Trump says…Trump has shown he’s been deceived himself and “is being played” by the current Russian dictator in terms of the Russian invasion into Ukraine in 2022. And Russia is poised to attack the Baltic States soon…as well as the mobilization going on with China. Our idiots in DC have no clue about how to keep ordinary people here in the USA safe from our enemies. They only care about deals with our adversaries to get richer and pad their own fortunes.
