I think the whole death to america thing is more and more something promoted by the neocons and foxnews types. My views on Iran have changed dramatically over the last several years. 10 years ago it would be bomb the mullahs!!! Now days I think about everything we have tried to do in the middle east has just made it worse. Iraq no WMD's toppeling saddam has represented no improvement in our nations circumstances. instead it cost trillions and dead soldiers. Afghanistan? The taliban runs it along with $40 billion in our military supplies. The muslim brotherhood runs egypt, Libya is in worse shape after we abandoned Gadaffi and let him get butt skewered in the streets after agreeing to meet all our demands to him. Alqeda runs syria now after we insisted assad go. Go down the list we have failed in everything we have done over there.
beyond all that start to think about the threat against the culture of Iran we are trying to impose. If we had our way. Gender study clinics would be set up over there. We would try to tell them the roles of women need to be changed. Abortions need to be allowed. They need to Transistion their kids without parents knowing. sick men need to be able to use the same bathrooms as their little girls. Dudes need to be in womens sports. This is what our nation would be telling them. Maybe not now but in 3 years when the next democrat is running our country. If you're Iran wouldn't you think I don't want anything to do with western culture in our country? It will destroy us. Our influence there isn't a good thing for them. Its not 1950 and eisenhower is president. We are not a benevolent force for them anymore.
