Best 640 resolution thermal for the $$

I run an Iray GH50 and like this scope with no buyers remorse.
One HUGE thing to remember when upgrading is "base magnification".

Well my shipping label say's the scopes are coming from China, so I guess the US warehouse was a fib.
If you order from their website, I think the scopes are shipped from China/Hong Kong. If you order from Amazon they are shipped from somewhere in the USA. So, the big question remains what happens when warranty or repair is required? As I mentioned previously, I was told by someone that shipping back out of the country could be an ITAR violation and problem. I'm sure they were told that by someone above them in the thermal marketplace. Of course, it isn't beyond the realm of possibility that information came from someone in the industry feeling the pressure from these much cheaper scopes. Upon further examination I have seen where this scope does not fall under ITAR regulations and would be classified under something called EAR which is much less stringent and can be legally shipped out of the US for warranty/repair. Not saying I understand any of it, but that's at least what I'm reading.

I guess we will have to wait and see when someone reports on what happens on a warranty/return. The website does state that owners will be responsible for shipping costs back to Hong Kong and then be reimbursed under warranty. As previously mentioned, I was also told by their representative on Amazon that all I would need to do was send it back to her and she would take care of the rest. So far I haven't seen or heard of anyone screaming about warranty work which is pretty amazing in itself. So, I don't know if that means she would ship the scope back to Hong Kong or that they actually do have a repair facility here. I know they have at least some stock here in the US for shipment through Amazon.

Amazon doesn't have the dual lens option with QD mount that I wanted so I had to order from the oneleaf website.
I was informed that the factory is having stock shortages and that two of my scopes will ship next week so I hope quality control isn't going to suffer because of the high demand.
I've contacted several first use testers and most have had nothing but accolades for this thermal.
Like you, testers that bought the scopes to test and don't have any skin in the game haven't had anything bad to say about them in terms of function and durability.
That's impressive for a 640 res scope that costs less than a refurbished ATN Thor 5 LRF 640 scope.

Oneleaf says on their website that thermal and NV are shipping DHL, UPS, Fedex and 5-7 business days. I will report back when I get it or tracking. I wanted the two lens 35-50 set and the QD mount so ordered from Oneleaf.

The Mars MT-1000 looks too good to be true. What's the catch?? Can they really offer a durable quality unit for under $2000.00? I know, I looked them up but it seems crazy that they can compete image wise and feature wise with $4000.00 units.

The 35-50mm unit is the most popular and is delayed.
The 35-75mm scope I ordered is supposed to arrive Monday.
I'm hoping this scope lives up to its expectations as I'd like to have a 640 res scope as a backup instead of a 384.

I'll let you know Monday.
I was hesitant at first, but well versed members here who've been around thermal scopes and hunting with them have given them the green light so I was willing to take a chance.
I really have no use for the LRF and ballistic features and it would be nice if they offered a 640 res 35-50mm model without those features for around $1,000.
That would be a game changer.

I'm eagerly awaiting more information from those of you who own these.

Me too. One nitpick I have is the pricing model. I'd be interested in the 50mm and 75mm. Alone, the 75 is $300 more than the 50. To get both, is $700 more than the 50. As such, I'd be a player for the 50mm and not one of the combos. For the distances I'd expect from my very limited experience with night hunting in my area, the 2.8x base mag of the 50 would be much better than the 2x of the 35. Same time, there are situations I'd really like the 5x of the 75. But, again, with that much disparity in the pricing, I'd be looking at just the 50mm.

After using Pulsar scopes with low base mag for a long time I didn't think I would like a 3x or higher base mag because of the small FOV.
That changed when I started using Nvis scopes.
Since I was engaging targets at longer ranges, the 3x+ base mag is preferred and I don't notice the smaller FOV.
The swappable lenses of the MT1000 is a nice feature to have if it doesn't have a large POI shift when changing lenses.
If you're hunting fields use the 75mm with 4x base, in close use the 35mm with 2x base or just use the 50mm as an all around scope.
