It goes the other way also. We do appreciate the members here and try to make this site run smooth. Unfortunately there are those that feel the need to cause problems. Look back through this post and look at some of the comments made towards the admin. None of those making the comments even know what has happened. They just feel the need to jump on the Admin here. Take a look at what you have posted in your comment and tell me where the appreciation is in it!! It takes a lot of work to keep the site running.

Maybe everyone should refresh their memory of what they agreed to when they joined here. Board Rules

If and when a member is banned there has been several warnings issued. There are a lot of things happen that lead up to it. It does just happen because someone is not liked. This is all kept private between the admin and the member. There is no need to share it with the other members. Nobody likes their personal things discussed on the open forum.

Yeah that's a load of crap. I was warned once. I heeded the warning. Then out of the blue like 3 weeks later I got a 30 day ban.

So don't try selling that load of garbage.
 
I got warned before too, Rob. I was over the line I will admit so I tried to be more careful in the future. As hard as it is for me to do so on occasion I do find it necessary to bite my tongue.

Never saw any dubious post from you I don't think. Seem like a right fine fellow to me. But of course, I say that to most people that love the .220 Swift!

since you as a member cannot remove evidence of your presence here, nor to my knowledge rescind a membership, the number of members here will never show if anyone left.


i do not know all the history that many posting in this thread do, i do not know many people by name, but my gut feeling about how things are being handled is shown in the posts of those that do know.

what made (past tense intentional) this forum great was that there are/ were people here with REAL knowledge not just internet b.s. many here wanted to challenge catshooter but were clearly unable to understand basic physics and had no facts other than internet "facts". those challenges deserved the smackdown that they got.

Man, to many have drank the sensitivity coolaide offered in our public schools the last 30 years. It cannot hurt that bad to be disagreed with.
 
This thread is starting to read like a daytime soap opera, you know that if you listen to segment #2 and don't listen again until segment #9, it's like you never missed a thing in the plot..I haven't read all eight pages, but by reading pages 1,5, and 8, it's become the same old story line, with many of the same comments repeated over and over, and to what point??

While there are ToS violations that are gross enough to have a member banned without warning, it's very rare that any person subjected to a disciplinary suspension for 30 days has not received several requests, or warnings, from one or more Moderators to tone it down before it is discussed among the whole staff of the board and a formal suspension voted on by all that are available...That is just for a suspension...

For an outright ban, the violation is either significantly gross on it's face or following prior suspension(s) that have either been forgotten over time and old habits returned, or just totally ignored by the subject member...We, as Mods, do not take any such action lightly, but neither will we be ignored when we attempt to be polite and have a positive response to a problem situation....If the general membership think that's being high handed or tyrannical, then move on to somewhere else that is more to your liking..

This comment that I'm making is not about any specific member or incident, past or present, but an explanation of how things come to pass, regardless of internet rumors or comments..As has always been the policy of the site, any disciplinary actions are kept private and will not be discussed publicly or privately...

But it looks good to potential sponsors.

I am a moderator on one of the leading Kawasaki boards in North American, and every so often, the admin purges old inactive members and banned members so the membership numbers are very accurate.

ACTIVE membership numbers look VERY good to potential sponsors....just saying.
 
......and for the Pamprin users here that had their delicate self esteem damaged by that mean ole member formerly known as catshooter, try using the ignore function....

If this is what the tough gun totin' critter killin' MEN of America have been reduced to, then the Republic is truly lost.
 
So if I understand OT correctly, members whining about their feelings being hurt and someone telling it like it is will be heard and coddled. But members with complaints or concerns about the actions of the PM big dogs should shut up or find a new coffee shop?

I read the TOS, just wanted to make sure I REALLY understood them.
 
Not true at all OT. I got 1 and only 1 warning and I toned it down. Then weeks later came the ban. That's some chicken [beeep] stuff right there.

Doggin Coyotes didn't even get that much consideration. And I firmly believe it was because a couple mods had a personal dislike for him. The man simply didn't get a fair shake, no warnings - nothing. He tried to edit the offending post within minutes but it was too late, it wasn't allowed by the Mod. Doggin caught a lifetime ban without a warning, not even a temporary suspension for a warning, he went straight past GO to Jail for nothing. It [beeep] me off because I do believe Doggin has forgotten more about killing coyotes than some here pretend to know. Could he be a little salty? Damm straight and his sense of humor and wit was one of the things that everybody loved about the guy. That and the fact he actually got out of the house and killed stuff. There was always a good story or something to be learned from his post as well as putting a grin on your mug from that sharp wit of his.
 
I could care less about who gets banned if rules were broken, we should all know how to act!
What is pretty dis heartening is the over all attitude of some of the moderators comments seeming not to care if members like it here or not, maybe it's because emotions are running high from whatever prompted this. I can say I'm very glad none of the sponsors customer service reps have had an attitude like this or they would not be in business long!
No one likes to feel belittled/ disrespected/unwanted, maybe we ALLneed to step back and think about what we post!!
