First, good muzzle brakes to use a high magnification rifle-scope on a SP without getting smacked.

The best way to do this is, click on the "PREVIEW POST" button to see if everything is the way you want it..

Yep thanks guys I purchase the stock a few weeks ago .It quite heavy if to guess 7 -8 lbs .I put a Jewell on it as soon as i changed from a center grip to a rear grip .And i just ordered a Lilja Heavy contour rifle barrel in 6mm 10 twist figured Id try the 90's and 95 grainers in either a 6 Dasher or the 6 x 47 Lapua . Been talking to Bob Green out of PA. to do the work. Thanks for the comments.

My new Fugly Stock

Looks like a McMillan McSwirly pattern to me. I also shoot some of the 200 gr. Wildcats in a 7-T Pac-Nor 7 WSM. Took one buck with it at ~350-yds. some years ago. I use the Burris 3-12x on that one but almost all of my other rigs have riflescopes on them now.

Here's a fun dog taken at 435 yds. 1st shot at a game animal using a 6.5-20x Mk 4/Darrell Holland HUMR reticle on an XP/6.5 WSM/140 A-Max. Actually did a quick 200-yd. zero with this rig an hour earlier on a rock, and had proven dope from another scope, mathced it up to Darrell's reticle and went hunting--

XPhunter and I have been using them for 25 years now, and were always trying to push their limits. We went from factory rigs, to bigger custom XP's in big cartridges/bullets in an attempt to get to big game we couldn't before. Also long range varminting kept us trying to get further out as well.

That's impressive. Getting a yodel dog with a rifle is hard enough, but to get one with a pistol at distance is a real challenge. Very impressive.

Are this long range guns classed as a rifle SBR or a pistol .I just talked to the ATF .I'm thinking of a custom action I have a spare Stolle Panda action and I thinking about the 6 x 47 Lapua maybe for the 115's barrel length will be around 18 " . Total overall 28-30" Which in the state of VA this is classed as a SBR - Short barrel rifle . Total overall length for a rifle min is 26" with a 16 " barrel . Just by looking at a few pictures some of these look like it could be classed as a rifle . What are your barrel lengths ?

Jim, you keep doing what you do as long as you can. I know you'd rather do it other ways, but I'm glad to see you are out hunting. You fellas have some fine looking hand cannons. Makes me want to dig a hole for my Contenders and hide them
