Looks like we turned this thread into a free-for-all, huh? Sorry OP.

Interestingly, I think Ernie now has the world record for the tightest 5-shot group at 1000 yds. with a specialty pistol [accomplished at the MOA shoot last week]--3.9". Here's his "pistol". Nawakwa-built 7 WSM/180 JLK--

Though some guys might like to see this. Pretty amazing i thought!

Eric Wallace, Nawakwa Accuracy built it for me.
It is a Switch barrel/Switch stock specialty pistol.
I have a 6.5 Leopard (WSM) barrel for it and a McRee Chassis as well.

I'll bet he has a dollar or two into that.
It looks amazing.

Again, That's amazing.
Looks like it isn't a walking around gun, more of a bench gun.
I have a couple of bench rest rifles, you wouldn't want to pack them on a day hike.
Is it attached to the front rest. It looks that way?
Makes me want to fire up my video camera and get some footage of chuck hunting with a SP.

Some more info about my "Bench Handgun"
Eric Wallace (Nawakwa Accuracy) built this rig and it shoots and tracks like a dream.
Non-designated BAT action, 1-9 twist Bartlein barrel chambered in 7mm WSM, Nawakwa brake, Jewell trigger, Nawakwa bench stock (6” forend and 3” at the grip), Sightron S-III 8-32 with target dot, and I am using a prototype MAX Coaxial/Joystick Rest.
Winchester brass, Fed 210M's, H-1000, and 180 grain JLK's. Redding T-7 press and competition dies.

Well I decided to close the season down a little early for now .I chatted with Dave Bruno the other evening about a XP 100 build and decided to go with him and I'm doing a tight neck 6 BR twisted and throated for the 105 grainers . I sent him the action this afternoon with the BR stock that needed total inletting . Looking to make this a switch barrel pistol . This way I can run the 68 grainers in the 6ppc and the 105's in the BR for a little longer range. Per Dave it should be about a month out at the present time. Woohooo looking forward to this.

Jim

Got my Burris rings today , order my Redding type S and Wilson seater die today .Told Dave to do what ever he thought the gun needed to be done should be getting back in the next few weeks and looking forward to that new rest coming in hint hint Ernie. Looking forward to my first 6 tight neck 6BR.SSCoyote very nice setup there you have also nice looking hand cannons.

You guys have me thinking bad thoughts. I took the little T/C out Sunday and was busting eggs with my 10" 22LR with 2.5x T/C scope at 100yds. Put a buddy behind it and he got a couple as well. Jim, can't wait to see the new gopher getter.

Corey--all the chuck huntin' you guys do back east there you oughtta' get one of these custom XP's and/or some such SP put together. You oughtta' see some of the groups some of these guys are shooting with these rigs. One of the guys over at specialty pistols website just put together a 243 WSSM XP that's shooting .25 MOA from a bipod and rear bag with the 95 and 105 Bergers. Phenomenal!

Seems like that chuckin' would be a perfect fit for one of these rigs. There's a guy down West VA way they call the WV Hitman. He posts over at SP all the time. He's shot more GH's than anyone i've ever heard of--thousands of them over the years with various SP's.

Just this last week Ernie accomplished quite a feat with one of his custom SP's. He and Darrell Holland took 2nd in the Wyoming Tactical Rifleman's Championship. Ernie shot the long-range part and Darrell shot the short with an AR.
Congrats old buddy!!
