I'm looking for ways to get my fusion up off the ground.I would like something compact and lightweight as possible because i do alot of walking.I seen some good looking idea's using a camera tri-pod but i really hate to drill a hole in the bottom of my unit.Thank's for the idea's.

I bent a piece of rebar in L shape, welded a cross bar about 10" from sharpened end for foot rest to push into ground, then soldered a piece of copper tubing @ the bend so the 1/4" spike on Mojo can be inserted. Short piece of para chord on FoxPro used to hang call (also used to hang on trees when available).

If you wish to use a tripod, why not JB Weld/or epoxy a 1/4x20 nut on bottom of call for tripod mount rather than drill a hole?

Regards,

Simple music stand. Take off music holder. Simple, extendable, lightweight, legs fold up. Only thing to do is fashion a hook that will stay in the top and put some type of cord around your call. You can also buy them probably already to go at HighTechRedNeck I believe.

there used to be a member that though taping it to his head was cool

anybody know who??

I made this awhile back.
I epoxied a nut to the bottom of the caller.
Welded a bolt to some thin rod.
It works, and I think the sounds carry farther and sound better...especially if there is a foot of fluffy snow on the ground with some wind to call into..
But, it is one more thing to carry..which sucks

I put it in a tree when possible but there are usually no trees in the fields i'm calling in other than the edges then they just usually skirt through the woods toward the call and never expose themselves into the open, like i said just looking for something very lightweight and compact where i can get it 1-2 feet off the ground.I can't put it on a carry bag because i generally use a turkey vest.

1/4" short bolt welded to a 12"Lx 3/8" piece of rebar & then welded a cross bar 4" up from bottom to use my foot to insert it into the ground when frozen. lays flat & easy to carry attaché to call when needed.

This is what I came up with. I hang the Fury off of the S bend. The socket is for setting a mojo critter into if you have one. I wrapped the hook with vet tape so it didn't clang when you hang the caller on it. Works great unless the ground is super frozen. Then I stab it in a yucca. You can also hang it off a fence wire so it's pretty versatile. used 5/16 rod from the farm store.

I used the bottom section of square tube for a mojo duck. Then took a short piece of aluminumn round stock, drilled and threaded it to put a short piece of all thread to screw into my shockwave. All total it took 10 minutes and its super light and compact. When the ground gets froze or I hunt in the rocks where the mojo stand won't go in the ground I used 1/4 inch bar and bent it into 14" square. Then x braced the bottom with the bar and welded a 4" collar in the middle so the mojo stand would slide in and stand up even though it cant be pushed in the ground.

I kept wondering when and why the camera tripod had not shown up. They are light and fast and you never have to worry about frozen ground. I would rather carry one of them in a back pack than the re-bar jobs. But I tip my hat to everyone's ingenuity. whatever works...
