How many of you hunt Coyotes alone?

My hunting buddy's disabilities finally made him have to go to a lower altitude, so unless my son or s-i-l come 350 miles to join me, I go alone. I like having someone to watch the backdoor, but realize the trade-offs involved.

I usually hunt with my Boys (6-8), but go by myself if they dont go. Some of my Buddys are whipped and are not able to get permission on time.

I usually hunt with my regular calling partner, except for when his kitchen pass gets yanked. That works out well as we are both on the same wavelength on where and how to set up. We've called together enough that we pretty much read each others minds, no 'on stand' communication required. We have 100% confidence in each others gun handling skills.

That said, I do enjoy hunting alone once in a while. I seem to call in and shoot more coyotes when alone, but for some reason I also miss more shots (especially easy ones). I hunt alone about 10% of the time.

Once in a while I 'cheat' on my regular partner and hunt with others. I've learned a lot hunting with others that are serious predator hunters, but most of my big game hunting buddies make poor calling partners... They're loud, impatient, can't hold still, and do silly things when coyotes come in (like point, forget to stop them for a shot, forget to chamber a round, etc).

I do most of my hunting alone due to my schedule and passion for the sport. It seems as though nobody that i know has the love for the sport of predator calling like i do. I take my wife along when she wants to go. She is very good at spotting coyotes. I think extra eyes and firepower in the field can only help as long as they can sit still and be part of the solution instead of part of the problem.

most of the time in all my hunting im alone unless my sons are out of school . most of my friends here are either to busy or the bosses want let them go . i will be hunting in a contest alone cant find no partner .

Alone 95% of the time. Most that want to go haven't been before. That usually leads to mistakes, as would be expected. I have a real good huntin' buddy back in SD, but usually only hunt a couple times a year together.

I go alone mostly. I do get a little worried about calling in bears and cougars. I got myself a 10mm glock and carry a WFNGC 200 gr and I feel a little better now. Hope I never have to use it.

I usually hunt alone, that way when something goes wrong I know it was me and not some impatient doofus, I like to learn from MY mistakes not someone elses since You don't always know what someone else did wrong!!

Alone! I have tried to get others to go, but they all say "you can't eat em!" I am in a region where I don't think much predator hunting takes place. Oh well more for me!

I hunt alone more than I don't, but if the other hunter is has good eyes and is a good shot, I actually prefer to have a partner. That extra set of eyes often proves very handy.

I have a couple of friends I try to hunt with but can't always the commitment out of them. They don't want to go out as often or as hard as I do. And now they both have girlfriends so I see them even less!

My hunting partner and I have diff work schedules so I hunt alone a lot unless My Daughter dosen't have ball games I take her.........

99% I am alone, but leave a note as to where I will be with a pal that goes with me when he can get the same days off as me, which in very rarely.

I'm mostly alone.

But I'd like some others to go out with, I'd like to be out with one other person when I hunt, I don't really mind if they are a beginner or expert.

Just as long as they show respect and don't think they can get by with tomfoolery while hunting.
